It feels like a cruel hazing ritual. Even AI said, as it was trying to help me that it is a black hole of incompetence and to move to IngramSpark. Jeff Bezos is a complete *ss hole for letting this happen. It's been over a month since I submitted my book for review. It's a total mess. Incompetent India customer service. It's supposed to take 72 hours. They have no idea what they are doing.

First of all it takes 100 years to get…
First of all it takes 100 years to get a book, coloring book, crossword puzzle approved. They lie when they say oh it takes 72 hrs. Then they lie that you have to fix something in your book awaiting publishing and there's nothing wrong with the book and that just starts the clock. They have a limit on how many you can release and I'm just trying to get one person to buy one. Now they lied that I didn't have permission to use superheroes and they are all available for FREE DOWNLOAD! Are you serious? Where is Bezos? FIX YOUR COMPANY. This is sad, you're make billions off of us and your company runs this bad??????Shame on you. Now they're pathetically dragging their a**es reviewing my suspension which should not have occurred are there actually people running this sh*t show or is it bots????? Get your sh*t together. Worst part of the company by far!

Unfit Termination of Account and Refusal to Provide Reason
I would give zero stars if I could.
I recently published a book through Amazon KDP, and initially, the experience was incredibly smooth. I remember thinking, “Wow, publishing a book is really straightforward and nowhere near as scary as I thought.”
Unfortunately, that impression did not last long.
A few days after my book was published and approved, I received an email stating that my KDP account had been terminated for allegedly violating their policies. The email appeared to be completely automated and gave me no meaningful explanation as to what I had actually done wrong.
My book was a poetry collection that fell within KDP’s publishing guidelines. I have also never fabricated reviews, manipulated reading activity, or knowingly engaged in anything that would artificially influence the performance of my book.
I genuinely cannot fathom what the issue with my account is because Amazon has yet to actually tell me.
I emailed KDP requesting that my account be manually reviewed and asking them to specify exactly what “activities” supposedly caused the termination.
Guess what?
I received another automated-sounding response that told me essentially nothing more than the first one.
I have now contacted them a second time and am still waiting for an actual explanation.
Amazon claims that it wants to build trust between authors, publishers, and readers. Unfortunately, my experience has done the exact opposite.
If you are going to terminate an author's entire publishing account for alleged policy violations, I believe the absolute minimum you should provide is a clear explanation of what they allegedly did wrong and a meaningful opportunity for the case to be reviewed by a human being.
How is an author supposed to trust a publishing platform when their account can seemingly disappear after their book has already been reviewed and approved, while they are given no specific explanation as to why?
What started as an exciting first publishing experience has left me extremely disappointed in KDP. I am now looking at alternative publishing platforms instead.
And now to edit my review, because once again Amazon is not listening to me. In my email I asked for my account not to be reinstated because I can no longer trust them, but they went ahead and reinstated it and now I cannot unpublished my book till it is released! I want nothing to do with KDP and I made that very clear!!!!

Amazon KDP è un monopolio cieco, ingiusto e senza tutele. Io ho detto basta.

**My KDP Account Was Terminated After 17 Ebooks and 549 Orders Processed**
I am still deeply disappointed by what happened to my KDP account.
I had 17 ebooks published, and I personally recorded my KDP dashboard activity every day because I wanted to keep a clear record of my publishing progress.
My dashboard showed:
* September 8, 2026: 115 units
* September 9, 2026: 89 units
* September 10, 2026: 131 units
* September 11, 2026: 117 units
* September 12, 2026: 36 units
* September 13, 2026: 14 units
* September 14, 2026: 4 units
The dashboard subsequently showed:
**Orders Processed: 549**
**Pages Read: 1,063 KENP**
Then my KDP account was terminated.
Amazon stated that titles in my account contained misleading metadata that could create a negative customer experience. I asked for clarification and offered to correct, revise, or remove anything that Amazon considered problematic.
However, Amazon ultimately upheld the termination and removed my books from sale.
What frustrates me most is not simply losing access to KDP. It is seeing a publishing account with 17 ebooks, hundreds of processed orders, and measurable Kindle Edition Normalized Page reads suddenly end without being given the specific title, ASIN, metadata field, or cover element that I could actually review and remediate.
I understand that Amazon has its own policies and enforcement procedures. I also understand that Amazon may not disclose information it considers sensitive.
But from a publisher's perspective, it is extremely difficult to correct a problem when the specific problem is not identified.
I kept screenshots and records of my dashboard activity throughout this period. These records document what I personally observed in my account before the termination.
I am sharing this experience because independent publishers deserve to understand how important it is to maintain their own records, backups, manuscripts, metadata, covers, and publishing history instead of relying entirely on one distribution platform.
For me, the lesson is simple:
**Build the publishing catalog. Preserve the evidence. Keep independent backups. Never make one platform the entire business.**

validation discrimination if your hand shakes.
They refused to validate my account. I tried numerous times to validate with both my license and my passport. I was told my picture was blurry. Tried to explain that I bc was 85 and my hand shook a bit so I was unable to get my account validated. If I took a picture of my license or passport while it was on a steady background it looked fine but they insisted that I hold it. Discrimination against older authors. They have canceled my account so I cannot receive royalties. Would never recommend KDP. I paid a publisher $1000 to get my book printed and I’m left with no way to get credit for sales.
