I know that JVZoo is just the platform that sellers use to sell their products, but that doesn't mean it isn't culpable and complicit in the illegal bait and switch sales tactics of its platform vendors. The common sales tactic by its vendors is to offer a “front end” product then a series of “one time offers” (OTO or more commonly referred to as a bait and switch) to upsell access to additional features. I get the OTO type sales strategy and, while sleezy and manipulative, it's technically not illegal (at least not in the US), however, JVZoo allows its vendors to go beyond that and deceive their buyers by offering “unlimited” and/or “lifetime” access to the product but then, after you buy the front end version of the product (which is nothing more than the stripped down and basic version in most cases) you find out that you’ve got to spend anywhere between $200-$1500 more on the OTOs to get what they promised on the front end sales page. On some products they offer you an "unlimited" and/or "lifetime" access and then on the checkout page in the smallest font possible, they tell you that it's actually a monthly or yearly fee (some don't even do that). Then on top of all that, as if that weren't enough, some vendors refuse to honor the "money back guarantee" after you buy one of the crappy products that doesn't work as advertised adn you realized that you were scammed. But then you think that you'll just contact JVZoo for a resolution but they refuse to do anything to help you. I reached out to JVZoo once for help with a case where the vendor just refused to answer my support requests and finally my requests for a refund and their reply to me was basically "Meh, Sorry but there's nothing we can do. The vendors are responsible for refunds. Sorry not sorry." I ended up filing a claim with the FTC and PayPal. The entire racket is one big SCAM. I'm sure there are a few diamonds in the rough, but who wants to go digging through the huge pile of manure to find one tiny diamond? I wish someone would stop all these scumbags. They're making a fortune off of deceptive and illegal sales tactics.

Hi Steven, First, we have no support tickets ever opened by anyone with your name. Second, we see you’ve left nearly the same exact review for another company on Trustpilot and you did not open a support ticket with them either. Third, you don’t have to purchase the OTOs which are not manipulative nor deceptive. They’re the same as “you want fries with that?” If you don’t want them, you say “no, thank you” and that’s all there is. If you do. As for lifetime - we have only begun allowing this in the last year and before we approve the product to be sold in our marketplace, the vendor must clarify what lifetime means for their product on their sales page. If the vendor lists “money back guarantee” they must honor it. If they do not, JVZoo forces the refund. All of these practices are both in accordance with the FTC and for the protection of the consumer. Finally this claim is baseless and inaccurate, just as your review for Prospertrading.com is (which again, is almost the exact review as this one) which is why we asked TrustPilot to help us gather more information, which you refused to provide us, as it appears this is a pattern with you. However, once we flagged your review you decided to provided TP with information which they refuse to share with us so we cannot assist you.

This is a crooked company that sells things that don’t work and they don’t refund back money. This company should be closed down by the FBI for interstate theft everything they do is crooked, I cannot believe they still exist for years cheating so many people, and still surviving.

Hi Sam, JVZoo is a marketplace that allows sellers to market their products. The sellers are independent businesses and as such they are fully responsible for this and other aspects of their business, including refunds. I reviewed our help desk and see that you reached out to our team. Our support team responded and requested additional information from you so that they could help you rather than you just complaining. However, you never told our team the name of the product nor did you provide them with the transaction id of the product you purchased so that they could assist you. We don’t want you to be frustrated, but when you open tickets and don’t respond to us with the information we’ve requested, we can’t actually help. Do you want to be frustrated and unhappy about your purchases or do you want to respond to us with the information requested so we can look into it? In the words of Jerry McGuire “help me to help YOU.”
