I bought a JVC 42" 4k "Smart" TV about six months ago. It is quite simply the worst piece of tech ever! It crashes more times than one of those yellow dummies. Problems with internet, apps, casting...everything really, up to and including turning the bloody thing on and off! I urge anyone thinking of buying a JVC product to buy any other brand.

Had my 55 inch 4K tv for just over a year and had no problems whatsoever. Works perfectly for gaming. YouTube and movies. Some of these reviews are harsh and probably untrue. I’ve had jvc tvs for years and never once had a problem

I purchased a 50” 4K JVC TV LT-50CA890 from Currys - PC World, within the first 3 weeks dark shadows was appearing on the screen, I took it back to have it replaced and gave JVC the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was a manufacturer fault, nope this wasn’t the case, the exchanger 2nd brand new tv after 2 weeks the screen started going green so I decided to take that one back also and completely exchange for a different brand, I ended up downsizing to a 43” 4K Hisense TV, so far the picture quality is so much better, and for that reason I will not be touching JVC again.

J’ai acheté des écouteurs sans fils JVC chez Cultura en pensant qu’il s’agissait d’une bonne marque japonaise… Quelle déception, impossible de les recharger, je n’ai quasiment jamais réussi à écouter plus de 30 minutes d’affilée. En plus, les earpods sont très gros et tiennent mal quand on marche. Bref, je déconseille fortement

Also glad I found this review site. I bought a 40" jvc Smart TV - that's a joke there is nothing smart about this tv at all ! !!!!! I have had all the same problems and after persevering for 6 months I finally contacted Currys but was informed "there is no refund after the initial 30 days" so the tv needs to be booked in for repair. I will then be without a tv for at least a week. I am an 83 year-old disabled pensioner and tv is my main form of entertainment so I will have to find something else to pass the time !!! If I'm lucky the tv will be found to be unrepairable and they will issue a voucher which I suppose will have to be spent at Currys although I had vowed never to shop there again. This is the problem with big companies that sell all sorts of electrical goods there is not much choice as to which shop to go to.

Glad I found this site, thought it was my incompetence that could not get this TV to work properly. Agree with all comments. Second handset failing again, time delays switching on, changing channels. Catchup not working, problems with casting etc etc. Recording doesnt work at all. No problems with internet and router, spent money thinking that was the issue. Purchased Jan 21. Will never buy anything from JVC again.

I purchased a JVC smart TV a few months ago. There is a lag in using the remote, TV turns itself over from Netflix to the TV on it's own, screen freezes feels like it takes a long time to wake up and get working. It is frustrating and not worth the money, worst TV I have every bought.

Awful smart tv, every 2 weeks we have to do a complete reset, otherwise everything is extremely laggy. Then it's fairly ok and then again, same thing. Having read the other reviews I know now that's a common issue with jvc. Tempted with a low price, now I see why... avoid, if you can! Currys say they can take it for a check up and ifentify the issue etc., but all they'll do will be a reset which I do at home and they'll say it's done. JVC used to be a reputable brand, now it's not. Very disappointed.
