JVC tv bought from Currys is appalling. This has got to be my worst ever purchase. Called a smart tv, it is everything but! It does not respond to the remote or anything else for that matter. Do not buy JVC and avoid Currys as I am sure they are aware of the problems based on other reviews

Awful, by the time it has opened my chosen programme, it has finished. Crashes all the time. Won’t run any apps. Might as well just take it straight to the tip.

I bought this JVC TV (JVC LT-50CA890 Android TV 50" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV with Google Assistant) from Currys PC World back in Feb 2021 and what a mistake it was. It was okay for the first month or so then I started to load on the Disney app and also Netflix and the problems started. Almost every time I watched something via an app on the TV it buffered or played the audio without the images, it was a joke. I upgraded my internet to the Virginmedia 600mbps and also bought a mesh wifi system and in the room with the JVC TV on wifi a speed test had results of 280mbps. It still buffered, so i used an ethernet cable and guess what, it buffered. I went to Currys today and asked if they could exchange it as it's been 5 months and it's impossible to watch anything whilst streaming on this TV and they said that it had to be sent away for repair. I said to the polite man who was at the PC World customer service desk that all he had to do was look at the ever growing reviews on this TV to see that it was not a fault rather a issue with all to all JVC TVs that were used for streaming, but he said that, though he had seen a lot of that brand come back it might not be related! Anyway, letting them have the TV for repair and hoping they don't come back with the "everything is fine with the TV" line as I know it's not! Avoid all JVC TVs, they are budget and fine if you use with a TV box that can stream but using the TV and it's apps, well forget it. Should not be sold as a smart TV as there is nothing smart about it.

Has been pretty useless from day one. Does it`s own thing. Today will not open to terrestrial channels. BBC etc, only Amazon fire. I do not subscibe to Netflix or any thing like that. Regularly changes off channels. EPG is worst tv i`ve ever had. Very disapointing for so called smart TV. More like dumb TV

I bought 2 of these I wish I hadn't bothered. Will never go near JVC products again. 1 went down the dump just out of warranty and other won't be long before it goes too. Neither made 2 years. Software is pathetic and both tvs are riddled with problems. Guide not updating or sticking to previous screen when switching on. TV turns off randomly and resets. Programmer just locks up when searching or switching to Netflix etc. None of this was helped by Covid or Currys I have to add.

AVOID !!!!!!!! JVC 43" LED SMART ULTRA HD TV. I unfortunately bought a JVC telly thinking that it would be a decent buy as the company are a household name. Absolute rubbish, the batteries in the handset have lasted longer than the television, not even 30 months old. NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN WILL I BUY FROM jvc. No wonder currys were pushing me to buy a 3 year warranty. AVOID !!!!!!
