Being a dog parent is one of the most rewarding things and we understand that fully because we are dog parents ourselves. Our relationship with our dogs is important and there’s no better way to strengthen that bond than through something we already do with them daily: Walks. That passion for our very own fur babies and helping other dog parents is what created Joyride Harness and forged our products.Today, we remain a tightknit family-ownedbusiness.🐶USA Owned & Operated

I wanted to Thankyou for making such a great product, we have a little pug , she’s still a puppy and pulls on the leash like a sled dog. With the small harness she used to have , she pulled backwards on it one day and came right out of it free , now she could of run right under a car, we needed something sturdy. We had a joyride for our older pug and it was great , now we have one for our puppy and she loves it n so do we ,we feel safe, and also it doesn’t affect her throat or trachea. Thanks

This is my 3rd Joy Ride harness
This is my 3rd Joy Ride harness. I now have a 3rd dog. They are so sturdy, easy to put on, and really durable. They look great too. The multi ring- anti pull system is really helpful. Love them!

This is a great harness for my puppy to grow up with. I don't feel so bad when I tug on his leash attached to his harness. I know that I'm not hurting him, just correcting any possible bad behavior. Especially when it comes to jumping off the curb onto the street. He is still just a puppy but the best method of training is step and repeat I say.

My husband and I both love the Joyride harness. They're very easy to take on and off.
I do wish they came in more designs. My only issue is I have to adjust the strap every other day or two, but it is not a big issue that would prevent me from purchasing more harnesses. We own 6 of them.

Great company/product, but my dog still pulls
My order shipped promptly, and someone followed up with me a week or so later to ask how things were going. The harness looks to be high quality and is easy to put on. However, instead of stopping my dog from pulling, the harness just slides when my dog pulls (so the loop is closer to being on top instead of on the side). At that point, it acts like a normal harness with a top loop, and does not stop the dog from pulling. I have a very strong, 80 pound Golden Retriever.

The harness was great at first but…
The harness was great at first. Then it got too loose and the metal ring kept falling off and the leash fell off.

We'd like to give this 5 stars but…
We'd like to give this 5 stars but there are a few things that don't work well for our dog.
Positives: Our 70 lb husky/pit mix, Annie, can't pull out of it like she can a collar, and when she pulls hard, it is against her chest, not her throat, so there's no wheezing. That alone makes buying this product worth it. She loves people, but doesn't like other dogs, and we especially love the handle on the back of the harness, so that if she lunges at a dog, we can lift her front feet off the ground and control her much more easily than with a standard leash and collar. Also, this harness is just cute. Annie is adorable in it, and people often comment on how pretty she is when wearing it.
Negatives: Our dog has sensitive skin and is not that comfortable in it; she tries to rub it off on walls and on the ground when wearing it. We have tried adjusting the straps many times. She still likes it, gets excited when she sees us pulling it off the hook to go somewhere, and doesn't avoid wearing it, so it's not that bad, but clearly it irritates her somewhat. I think using a strapping material with softer edges than webbing as straps might help? Maybe trimming the edges of the webbing with a softer material? Lastly, it does not keep her from pulling, as advertised. We have tried putting the leash on all three rings, and she still pulls, although it does offer better control than a collar does.
All in all, we're happy enough with the purchase, and use it frequently. We would recommend it to other dog owners to improve your overall dog walking experience and your dog's safety in terms of not compressing their throat & airway when pulling, having better control of the dog, and not slipping the lead. Just don't expect it to solve pulling issues if your dog has them.
