Bought one for my 17lb girl and my 80lb boy, and they have been awesome! The only problem, if I tighten the big dogs harness too tight, then as he goes to run it unsnap as the harness and leash retract!

Works very well with my Golden retriever

Our four pups love their Joyride harnesses! They don't rub behind their legs like the old harnesses so they are excited to put them on. They stick their heads in when we hold them up. We have used the handle with one of our rescues who is sometimes reactive toward big dogs, just make her sit and hold handle. Such great colors and patterns, they all look great, not only sturdy but nice looking.
