I have a beagle puppy whose nose causes him to pull with all his might on our walks. I could not take him on walks without the Joyride Harness. I also bought one for my 9-year-old beagle who keeps it on all day sometimes as it is so comfortable.

Im sorry to hear that. We were not aware this happened to you. We have some tips and tricks that may help you. Hope this helps :) A harness, to dog owners, can seem overwhelming, but to dogs it can seem downright scary at first! Before putting the harness on your dog, here are some tips for making your pup comfortable. Start by allowing your dog to smell the harness. Put a treat on the harness, allowing him/her to eat the treat off it. Touch your dog with the harness, praising each time it makes contact. If the harness has a buckle, you can open and close the buckle, giving the dog a treat when it clicks. Most dogs who don’t like wearing a harness typically have sensitivity to certain areas being touched. To help combat this, pet and stroke your pup on the areas that the harness will be touching. For some dogs, it can take a few weeks for it to begin feeling comfortable. If your dog backs away or nips at you, it’s a sign you’re moving too fast and need to slow down. It is definitely the easiest harness I have used to put on, it it losens up. My dog has slipped out of it 3 times already.

We have bought 5 harnesses for our 3 dogs. I have to admit, the puppy and the bunnies chewed one to pieces. We promptly ordered a replacement and a backup. Rough lesson. We bought a small one for our 14yo schnauzer when he had an incident that (temporarily-whew!) affected his balance. It was a great help to him that we could use both the training loops to attach a side of our double leash and help him keep his balance and allow him to get the wandering exercise he really wanted. Go innovation! The leash with the padding and 2nd hand hold is my favorite leash. It comfortably fits my small hands. I ordered a second to have one for each big dog. I wish they had the option to come without the seat belt connector. Our first one doesn't have that, the second does and it makes the lower loop a bit awkward at times. I can't use the connector as my doodle chews through them and would immediately ruin the leash.
