This is a well made, good fitting harness for our 90lb baby. The only draw back is no front leash clip. The side ones are better than center back but a front clip helps so much more with the pulling. Since I only weigh less than 20lbs more than the dog...this is really important for control.

Cute harness but my dog learned how to get out of this harness. I don’t believe it was too loose as I used only 1 finger to check for tightness. Not sure why the D rings are needed on the sides. She sounded like a little saddled horse jingling with any movement.

I bought this harness with the hopes that my hound would not pull (as advertised). Not the case! She pulls just as much as a regular leash and collar, wasted 💰.

I wanted to love this harness, but unfortunately I don’t. I was drawn to it initially because of the ease of putting it on our dog, and it is easy to get on, I will give them that. However, it also is easy for him to back out of it as well if he wants to (which he has). For that reason, I have to give it only 3 stars. Usually he’s fine in it, but the couple of times he’s gotten out of it or almost gotten out of it is enough to make me hesitant to trust the harness.

The strap on the front should be reversed.The Velcro should be on the outside, in this manner it would be easier to size the strap so the dog cannot get out of the harness.I was never able to get the strap tight enough, so my dog was able to get out. That was my one and only complaint.

We really love our Joy Ride harnesses. We have bought several over the years for our Great Danes. We recommend them to other Dane owners in our online group. If it wasn’t for the plastic buckle giving out on occasion (Great Danes are clumsy), we probably wouldn’t have needed to purchase another harness at all. They are great harnesses.
