Full review after 3 months on Embody
I am writing this review after 2 full months of medication use (into my 3rd month now). I wanted to be able to fairly evaluate the ordering, delivery, supplies, and results allowing for my body’s adjustment when changing compounding pharmacies. I transferred to Embody from a different company I started my Glp-1 journey with after 3 months. I am currently starting my 6th month of treatment total. I have lost 30+ lbs total. However, my weight loss has come to a complete halt in the last 4-5 weeks. Ordering was simple and easy. They took payment for 3 months of treatment up front, which is typical. I received a confirmation email and they communicated very well. Shipping is not as fast as my other company, but I didn’t experience any lengthy delays either. Took just over a week or so. Product arrived cold, but the frozen packaging was thawed at arrival. Just so you know to get it inside once delivered. Embody will only ship a one month supply at a time. You will be required to submit a new questionnaire each month around week 3 of treatment. A provider reviews within a day or so and your next month will be sent if approved. This was a new process for me and impacted my titration upwards of my treatment plan. I have been stagnant and my weight loss has stopped. Here are a few issues I noted: I had been on Tirzepatide with no additives for 3 months. I had great results! No side effects, no nausea, just consistent weight loss week over week, appetite suppression and decreased food noise. I had no lapse in treatment but instead of following my treatment plan (I provided my previous prescription for the provider to review) Embody sent me Tirzepatide with L-Carnitine added and changed my dosage to slightly lower than my current dose. Since I was just hitting a therapeutic level I was a little bothered by this, but followed their instructions. Results were very disappointing. My weight loss completely stalled, my appetite returned by week 3 of this medication and I was doing everything the same! I work out multiple days per week, average 15k steps a day and still track calories. I let this go as new compound and a lower dose-hopeful this was a plateau. Month 2 on Embody I filled out my questionnaire and a little over a week later the next vial arrived. They chose a different additive without asking or discussing with me. So take note, you will get what they decide to send. I have never experienced any side effects and didn’t want the additives-but they decided I needed it and didn’t keep me on the same one month to month. More frustrating is I think I noticed better energy with the L-Carnitine and was disappointed it was removed. The next order was Tirzepatide with B6. I have never experienced nausea at any dose and didn’t expect the change in medication and it isn’t needed. Also, my medication arrived the day after I should have taken my dose. Not a huge problem, but worth mentioning since this is out of the patient control. This dose was raised to the next level, and during this entire month I have had just about 2 lbs weight loss. And the appetite suppression and food noise support is just not happening anymore. I am telling you there is a significant difference in how I “feel” taking this medication from my previous company. I just completed my 3rd month’s questionnaire and my order was approved. However, I was disappointed to find they chose to leave me at the last months dose and not increase it. And this week I actually gained a pound back. Currently I am on 11.25 mg I believe, which is not the standard and is lower than I should be at this point, but again I am following the treatment plan prescribed. I am happy with the price compared to others, but due to the lack of results and return of appetite and food noise coupled with minimal to no weight loss-the return on investment is not good. I would rather pay more for a product that produces the expected results and not have additives that I do not need in my medicine. Embody during month one was very helpful and responsive! They answered my questions and sent follow up emails. The next few months have been very quiet. I asked why the medication was changed I still have never heard back, so I am resigned to just take what I got. Supplies were fine and their instructions are clear and easy to follow. I am a nurse so that may help me, but I feel confident these are easy regardless of past experiences. Tracking your progress and site of administration will be on you since there is no app or website to do this. I will likely end my subscription at the end of this month and go back to my previous company, strictly because the lack of results, unwanted additives, and doses not being titrated up as expected when my weight loss has completely stopped. Embody is fairly priced but lacked results for me.
