My provider is really helpful, kind, understanding and compassionate. I have yet to meet a provider that cares this much about her patients.

It was more expensive than advertised
It was more expensive than advertised. Now my insurance blue cross isn't approved anymore which is advertised as approved.
The dr. Just increased my anti depressant which is not what I wanted or came in for.

Hi there - it's always heartbreaking to us when insurance coverage comes back as out-of-network, especially when there's a delay from the insurance company in letting us know.
We do accept most BCBS plans, but in your case, it's a medicaid plan being administered by BCBS. We're not yet in-network with medicaid or medicare yet (although we're working on it!) so that's the cause of what happened here.
As for your medication, it may not be exactly what you were anticipating prior to the appointment, but it's important to trust in your psychiatrist's clinical judgment when it comes to medications. A lot of times, patients end up being pleasantly surprised by the results they achieve with medications they weren't expecting!

I’ve been to many telehealth therapists…
I’ve been to many telehealth therapists before but haven’t always had the best experience until now. My therapist was so kind, understanding, and non judgmental when I was so scared to talk about my issues and was so nervous. Could not recommend more!

Hello - we reviewed your case and are not sure what you're seeing. As far as we know, your visits are fully covered by insurance (and we haven't heard otherwise from your insurance company).
Moreover, we have not charged you a single cent for any visit. That's something we can say with absolute certainty.
At the end of the day, your mental health is always our first priority. So if there's anything we can do to sort out the facts here for you, please let us know.

Great service and easy to use
I found Blossom via social media. I have tried several psychiatry and therapy telehealth services before, and Blossom was definitely the easiest to use with highest quality care. At other places, I feel like I’m bothering my provider and they are always in a rush to scoot me out the door, ready to assign my medication without hearing about my actual issues. At Blossom, my provider was very attentive and ensured that I was thoroughly heard. This shouldn’t be a unique experience, but unfortunately it is. I’m glad Blossom is doing things the right way.

That's fantastic! We 100% always do what's best for our patients - and that means really listening, understanding what's going on, and then working together on a plan that works.

I felt like I was bothering my…
I felt like I was bothering my therapist by showing up.
Therapist (Jermaine Nnaeto) showed up at least five minutes late (maybe 8). The consult was 30-35 minutes which felt oddly short. It may have been because I had had an initial consult with another therapist (Dr. Elmer Jones Elma) earlier. Dr. Elmer didn't work out -- That one went from everything is private, to I need the names and contact information for these 6 or so people close to you in your life to talk with them about you -- wait, wat?! When I balked, he gave an ultimatum -- do it or you can find another therapist. I would have thought he might have come back with "Hmm, you seem to have feelings about this, let's dig into that". But nope.
So maybe because he had a history was why the session with Dr. Jermaine was short -- but no rapport was made, and he seemed bored and unengaged. His audio wasn't great either so he was hard to hear. Was quick to dole out meds. Not sure it's right or not. I mentioned that I suspect I might have some autism, but without asking any questions or having me fill out any questionnaire, he said: "I can tell by looking you don't". THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS! Not saying I have autism necessarily though, it was a question. So not happy, but better than the first disaster.
Update: And to add insult to injury, while I filed the feedback with the name “patient”, they respond using my name.
Utterly unbelievable

Hi Patient A - really appreciate your feedback. We always strive to do right by our patients, so thank you for bringing it to our attention when we fall short. So a few things here:
1. Unlike physiological ailments that are black & white (e.g. a CT scan of a broken bone), very often psychiatry deals in shades of grey and psychiatrists make diagnoses and recommend treatment paths based on their learned judgment of your symptoms, personal history, family background, past medical history. etc.
2. Your first psychiatrist, Dr. Elmer Jones Elma, requested "collateral information" which is just a clinical way of saying he was looking for some further information from the people who know you best (your family, coworkers, etc.). That information provides a fuller picture of your symptoms and helps a provider diagnose you with a higher degree of confidence and precision. He certainly could have done a better job of explaining the request and on responding to your (understandable) hesitancy to proceed. We will address this miscue with Dr. Elma because succeeding for our patients means creating a trusting relationship, and that starts with proactive communication and transparency on why we ask for the things we do.
3. Regarding Dr. Jermaine Nnaeto, I won't share too much on a public forum because we value your medical privacy. But he didn't make the diagnosis you were curious about because it's most commonly a childhood and adolescent developmental disorder, and given your age and life circumstances, it's an unlikely diagnosis in your specific case. Of course it's possible you've gone through life undiagnosed, but even so, given the specific facts of your case, it was his considered medical opinion that other diagnoses are more likely.
4. Lastly, regarding medication. We only recommend medication as needed, and given some of your symptoms, it may be an appropriate option for you (only if you so choose it, of course). At the end of the day, your medical care is always in your own hands and we respect any decisions a patient makes about their care & treatment.
We will also follow up with you privately so that we can speak with more candor to address your concerns and hopefully arrive at a solution that works. We truly want what's best for all our patients, and will do our absolute best to help you achieve your mental health goals.
