Jobscan.coReviews of jobscan.co

Great product! I turned in resumes for two months and only had one interview; two weeks after starting to use Jobscan to tailor my resume to specific job descriptions I was in talks with six different companies, received two offers, and signed with a great company. Highly recommend Jobscan!

Great tool. Easy to use. Really helped me align my resume to job descriptions.

It was a great tool; I landed, interviewed, and got the job.

Two weeks ago I used jobscan to scan my Resume and it gave my Cv a score of 75% and showed me where I was supposed to make changes. I then applied and my Cv was short listed. It was a first time my Cv got shortlisted

I cancelled my subscription with JobScan in 2021 when they were still using Sitejabber for their customer service. I received an email telling me I did not need to do anything further. However, JobScan kept charging my partner's card, and when I raised this with JobScan, their customer service denied that I had ever contacted them to cancel their subscription and said "as a gesture of goodwill," they would only refund their last invoice.

I've recently come across some suspicions that there might be fake reviews being used to offset negative feedback for Jobscan.co. On Trustpilot, I've noticed a peculiar pattern where only 5-star and 1 to 2-star reviews are prominently displayed. Sharing my personal experience, I conducted 138 scans on Jobscan.co to tailor my resumes for specific job postings. Over the course of a month, I applied to 29 jobs using these optimized resumes but unfortunately had a 0% success rate. This was quite disheartening. However, my journey took a turn when I started using ChatGPT. The AI chatbot's resume suggestions were incredibly accurate and effective. Out of 10 resumes I crafted with the help of ChatGPT, I received responses from recruiters for 2 of them. This was a significant improvement from my previous attempts. Additionally, I came across a Chrome Extension named "resume response gpt" which provides insights into how an AI Recruiting Consultant would evaluate your application. To my surprise, a resume that Jobscan.co rated with an ATS score of 90 was only considered a "medium fit" by the AI Recruiting Consultant. This was a clear indication to me that Jobscan.co might not be as effective as it claims to be. In conclusion, while Jobscan.co might have been a groundbreaking tool in the past, it seems that with the rise of AI, its relevance is dwindling. It's evident that many recruiters today are leaning towards AI to find the ideal candidate. Jobseekers should be aware and perhaps look towards more advanced tools to stay competitive.

I used it to apply for a job after getting rather desperate that I hadn't managed to land a job 2 months into my search and getting a relatively poor response rate on my applications (~10%). Shortly before using jobscan I had heard about ATS and I wanted to check if that explained why so few employers called back after I submitted what I thought were strong CVs and cover letters. After I logged into jobscan, I got the job spec to CV + cover letter match rates to about 95% and then went ahead and applied. A few days later, I got emailed back for interviews. Fast forward one month and 6 calls, I got an offer. Jobscan worked! Also worth mentioning that although I accidentally went over the two week free trial period by a few hours, the jobscan Support team were kind enough to waive the quarterly fee. All I can say is that they have an amazing product and service and I would definitely recommend this! Thanks Jobscan team! If you're reading this in 2023 - it's a terrible time to be looking for work. Just hang in there and give this a try! Good luck!

Almost a useless purchase. The quality of recommendation of their "automated ai powered system that helps you to create a cv" is a standard copy-pasting service that uses job requirements as input and recommends a user paste the exact words in a corresponding CV field. Email support exists to seem that it exists. They do not approach understanding the user's issue. Lots of advertisements on the web through career consultants make this service popular. Their free recommendations on the website will probably be even more helpful for you to apply in your CV than the service for $ 50/mth. Unhappy with this experiment.
