As a premium user of Jobscan, I appreciate the service they offer. However, I find the interface to be less intuitive than expected. Additionally, the app struggles to accurately recognise the text from my existing CV, which affects its overall usability. To put it mildly, if you need explanation videos sent by customer support for every single step or bug, and facing multiple bugs, such as manually entering work positions, company name, country and year and 1 by 1 bullet points in work experience, then lose all the work cause of the bug, in 2025 and age of AI, I believe there is significant room for improvement in the app's functionality.

It's a matter of HONOR and INTEGRITY I checked several AI-based resume websites and liked JobScan. I signed up for a 2-week free trial and sent out 30 applications based on their recommendations. I was initially encouraged by the prospect of success in my job hunt. Soon after my free trial expired (and I was not charged any money), I was invited to participate in what they called a HireReady Virtual Workshop Series - 6 hours of sessions covering all aspects of the job hunt process. I felt I got a lot of useful tips from each of the sessions. However, during the sessions they offered the attendees a 20% discount off of their Jobscan Premium service. I guess I was too busy focusing on the tips given during the workshops to notice the special URL they mentioned to obtain the discount. I felt their service was pricey but the workshops were free and I didn't want to lose access to the recorded sessions so I signed up for 3 months of JobScan Premium. I did NOT get the discount. I contacted their customer service and they categorically refused to give me the discount because I didn't use the special link. It's not that I was asking for something that I wasn't entitled to. All workshop attendees were offered the 20% discount. I didn't get it. To my knowledge, no one got it. I'm finding out now that this website is one of the lower ranked AI resume websites. It makes sense to me because of the 30 applications I sent out I have received NO replies and NO interviews. Check the other 1-star and 2-star reviews. Other people have had similar experiences with these people. NOTE: they will probably respond by saying how much they care and how they explicitly stated the promotional URL. They only seem to care about getting money out of you. And once they got it, like any other con artist, good luck getting any of it back. Now, I'm stuck with a resume website that hasn't produced results for me but has left a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe if I implement the tips from the webinar I will have success and it will all be worth it. No discount and no interviews. Think about it.

After the below review I wrote with disappointment on the support I received, they in-fact refunded in full. However am not sure if the informing customer was implemented prior to charging them. Thank you team. Bumping up the stars from 1 to 2. --- my previous review: Quite a low quality support experience. The interfaces and I must say it is not their resume that got a job for me. I had both of my usual (rather bulky) resume, and the Jobscan targeted resumes working for me over the course of two years. I spent over $270 on subscriptions on Jobscan. Sadly I must say they aren't worth a penny. Clunky UIs, horrible support, nasty terms (they'll charge your card without any notifications, and keep the moneys when you ask for refund -- despite you haven't used their system). Low value service. Go with ChatGPT, far better!

Used to be quite good and helped me land my first interviews and internship out of college. It would let you paste in your resume and the job description and go from there. It would give you a percentage basis for how well you aligned with the keyword soup that ATS wants to see. I went back after six months as my internship comes to an end, I can cancelled my amount, and they allow me two free scans. I paste in my updated resume, and it forced me to choose one of its templates. I did so, and it proceeded to delete two thirds of my resume because Jobscan's software couldn't parse my clearly defined experience, education, and projects sections. Then, rather than a percentage, it just told me my match rate was "Low" (how helpful) - because it had just deleted a majority of my resume! I hit the back button to try again - try another format perhaps - and guess what! That was one of the "free" scans they'd offered me! What joy! Jobscan has made their service harder to use and less accurate for what reason?

Jobscan made no difference. After watching a LinkedIn video about how to stand out as an applicant, I purchased Jobscan hoping it would get me some initial interviews. I used Jobscan on multiple applications and cover letters and I heard nothing back from the roles I applied for on LinkedIn. So this purchase has been a waste of money for me at a time when I am not working. The Power Edit mode is also frustrating as it strips all of the formatting out from your original CV, so if you use this mode it's double the work formatting the content again.

I've recently come across some suspicions that there might be fake reviews being used to offset negative feedback for Jobscan.co. On Trustpilot, I've noticed a peculiar pattern where only 5-star and 1 to 2-star reviews are prominently displayed. Sharing my personal experience, I conducted 138 scans on Jobscan.co to tailor my resumes for specific job postings. Over the course of a month, I applied to 29 jobs using these optimized resumes but unfortunately had a 0% success rate. This was quite disheartening. However, my journey took a turn when I started using ChatGPT. The AI chatbot's resume suggestions were incredibly accurate and effective. Out of 10 resumes I crafted with the help of ChatGPT, I received responses from recruiters for 2 of them. This was a significant improvement from my previous attempts. Additionally, I came across a Chrome Extension named "resume response gpt" which provides insights into how an AI Recruiting Consultant would evaluate your application. To my surprise, a resume that Jobscan.co rated with an ATS score of 90 was only considered a "medium fit" by the AI Recruiting Consultant. This was a clear indication to me that Jobscan.co might not be as effective as it claims to be. In conclusion, while Jobscan.co might have been a groundbreaking tool in the past, it seems that with the rise of AI, its relevance is dwindling. It's evident that many recruiters today are leaning towards AI to find the ideal candidate. Jobseekers should be aware and perhaps look towards more advanced tools to stay competitive.

Almost a useless purchase. The quality of recommendation of their "automated ai powered system that helps you to create a cv" is a standard copy-pasting service that uses job requirements as input and recommends a user paste the exact words in a corresponding CV field. Email support exists to seem that it exists. They do not approach understanding the user's issue. Lots of advertisements on the web through career consultants make this service popular. Their free recommendations on the website will probably be even more helpful for you to apply in your CV than the service for $ 50/mth. Unhappy with this experiment.
