I bought my very large window with sliders 20 years ago. I bought it due to the vinyl window warranty. I have tried to reach Jeld-Wen over and over, filed 3 warranty claims and they never respond. I called Home Depot since they carry them and they said they are probably not taking the warranty. For the past 2 years I saw a shadow, then it looked like dust and this year the whole window failed with looks like yellow dust and marks in the whole inside., Never buy from them again.

I bought 12 impact windows and their style was horrible. The zoning board told me I had to put screws into the bottom, since JeldWen had predrilled holes, plus that had holes behind the balancers. Which meant you had to take them off, put your screws in, then reinstall the balancers. Coupled with this, one of my lower sash windows shattered wehn I tried to reinstall it. I've since learned tey have newer models that dont require bottom screws and all holes on the side are OK to drill. They are priced low, but I would defintiey look around at different windows

6 years ago, we bought a new house with French doors supplied by JeldWen. Following months and years of visits involving everything from adjustments to replacements, we once again found ourselves unable to lock them. Very long story short, JeldWen sent me instructions and told me to adjust the hinges myself. When I refused, they said they would send an engineer for a fee of £250, taken up front and refunded if the fault was deemed to be a manufacturing one (to be decided by the engineer) as the hinges were not included in the 10 year guarantee. My belief was that the hinges, as they were supplied by JeldWen, should be covered. After much toing and froing, they finally offered a visit, almost 3 months after my first email. During a lull in their responses, I gave up the the will to live and got the doors adjusted myself at a cost of £70, a bit less than JeldWen would have charged after they’d marked their own homework. Throughout this debacle going back 6 years in all, JeldWen’s product quality and service has been appalling. Customer service has been abrupt, unapologetic and unhelpful. I urge anyone thinking of buying from them to try and find alternative supplier. They are, by far, the worst company I have ever had to deal with.

Their poor customer service and the product we purchased a back french door was told the door was warped and frame didnt fit the door itself only to be denied coverage by the warranty told have the installer fix it no matter who installs its still leaves a gap and will not lock. Rude warranty employees also we have to wait over 2 weeks for someone to come look at it; The employees do not care its like we are bothering them. Never again will i purchase this brand of anything

Say my windows have a lifetime warranty only to be told I have to purchase replacement locks that have broke.

Sliding patio door with pet window installed, pet window broke on install and it's now 5 months later. A fix was promised. Now call are not returned. We were told replacement was delivered to the service people weeks ago and still nothing. Nothing from jeld wen or Lowes where we purchased it. At this point considering court options. DONT BUY THESE PRODUCTS ANYWHERE!

Over the past 7 years I’ve already had one lot replaced free of charge (4 sets of patio doors and 15 windows) and I’ve still have major issues. Customer services do respond but obviously have a fob you off attitude, the most frustrating thing is that the same issue is happening again on the replacement ones.
