Unfortunately, in your case, the photos we received show the wig only after it had already been washed with clarifying shampoo, vinegar, baking soda, and Dawn soap, which makes it impossible for us to evaluate how the product actually arrived to you or to verify the concerns regarding length and construction. We'd also like to take a moment to clarify how our products are made. Our wigs and extensions advertised as human hair are indeed crafted from 100% human hair. However, to achieve the final color, texture, and style we offer, the hair undergoes chemical processing, coloring, and styling during production. Because of this, the hair requires extra care compared to untreated hair. We strongly recommend avoiding bleach and harsh chemicals, using low heat settings when styling along with a heat protectant, opting for gentle, hair-friendly dyes if any coloring is desired, washing only when needed with sulfate-free products, and providing extra moisture through conditioning masks and leave-in treatments. The treatments you described, particularly clarifying shampoo, vinegar, baking soda, and Dawn soap in succession, are unfortunately very harsh on already processed hair and can strip the cuticle, leaving the hair dry, tangled, and difficult to manage. This would also prevent any color from bonding properly, regardless of the hair's authenticity. Regarding our return policy: each hair tube has a black seal with a clear message indicating it should only be broken if the product is being kept. This seal helps ensure hygiene and quality for all customers. Additionally, every tube has a separate compartment labeled “TRY ME” for a sample piece, allowing you to test color and texture without breaking the main seal. Hair that has been unworn and remains in original condition with the seal intact is eligible for return, but the main seal must remain unbroken to maintain this eligibility. Because of these treatments, hair can sometimes appear slightly dry or have temporary texture changes right out of the package, but it should not behave as you described. Our hair extensions are designed to last for 3–6 months with proper care. Any inconsistencies in color or strands are extremely rare and not representative of our quality standards. Regarding the scent you noticed, because our products are made with real human hair, the hair goes through a professional cleaning and sanitizing process before production. During this process it is chemically cleansed and treated, and silicone-based conditioning treatments are often applied to help maintain softness, manageability, and longevity. These treatments can sometimes leave a temporary odor when the product is first opened. In most cases, this dissipates after the wig or topper is aired out or washed with a gentle shampoo.
