They punished me for Medical Leave, costing me status points and wages, which is violating a federal law, actually. There's never any shifts, then shifts didn't transfer properly to willing and capable workers. They make their own rules and there is no customer service number.... Anywhere! But there's a plethora of spammers in group chats, & unmonitored #Suspicious #fraudulent.

The fact that you have to wait to solidify for your employer or last employer is insane y’all make it even more harder for someone to get a job or make some quick money because of these damn requirements. Get it together!

0 stars, absolutely awful! They charged me for my trial and told me I don’t have anything active, then they turned my credit card into virtual eventhough I changed credit card they charged me again! They are complete jerks and I will never ever ever work with them,

The idea is nice but is executed very poorly. The app, customer service, and policies are terrible. The app frequently glitches out by either tracking your location improperly or clocks you out hours before your shift is over while you're working. I've worked full 8 hour shifts where I got clocked out an hour into the shift because the location tracking wouldn't work properly. The only way to solve this is to ask the company you're gigging for to fix it. Best case scenario your pay is delayed. Worst case the company you gigged for abuses you and you only get payed for an hour because you "left". There's no way to reconcile with Instawork because the location tracking is their god and is unfallible. Customer service is nearly impossible to get ahold of. If you ask anything complicated at all they will ignore you and never solve the problem. As I mentioned previously, you're at complete mercy of whatever company you're gigging with. As far as policies go, you are basically expected to be a work robot. I worked about 2 years through this app with incredible reliability. Never missed a shift, always showed up early, and had great ratings from many of the companies. Then I got sick... I had to cancel a string of 2 or 3 shifts in a row and now I have a low reliability score and can't increase it because no shifts show up for me anymore. Don't recommend at all.

It’s a headache to even get your documentation verified to unlock W-2 shifts. Not a good first impression and I haven’t even worked a shift yet. How hard is going to be to get my taxes at end of year when I do work some shifts. Even Uber does not make you verify this much

No one ever respond to the so called contact me on the app. I’ve been on hold for almost three months waiting on a background check. I actually work in a banner hospital so it doesn’t make any sense at all. Totally not professional don’t seem to care about their workers. Don’t recommend at all .

I’m writing this review because getting in contact with customer service has been so frustrating. I changed my number and now I’m not able to access the app but the only way to get help is through the app in which I cannot access because it only lets you log in with your phone number that sends a code via text to the number you set the account up with. I’ve emailed 6 different emails and no luck. So frustrating.

I’ve worked 4 shifts and have not been paid . I only used this app as one of the companies i was working with through another gig app decided to use them. There’s no live rep and they send blanket responses advising to give more time and to read instructions i’ve thoroughly read before reaching out . For the week of march 18th through the 24th i was to be paid april 1st . The app implied it sent to bank last friday the 28th Good Friday . My bank confirmed money hasn’t been sent and it’s april 2nd . They told me april 1st wait til today they told me today wait 3 more day. When i explained they said reach out today , they said send in statement from march 27th til today which i did . They have yet to read that statement sent as they chat show unread . I thought maybe it’s a clerical error and they have wrong bank info. They confirmed it was correct when i sent it through chat and my bank has stated it hasn’t been sent to them two days in a row. I’ve never worked in 20 years where i wasn’t paid . I feel cheated violated and abused . I relied on that money for a bill . I have been requested to work for this company through their app. Just imagine how cheated it feel to spend money to work and not be compensated. I will reach out to cfpb labor board and secretary of state .They need to be banned from the US . I’ve lost all trust and hope in gig work after this experience but i will fight til the end for my penny’s on the dollar checks . I will notify the company that switch to them as to why i can’t justify working for free through instawork .
