Hi, The Instawork app is not bad but I feel like you give the captains way too much power. Captains Charisse and Kimberly were very unfair to me, they treated me unfairly and targeted me and adjusted my time incorrectly, every one has problems with them. Also, sometimes the gigs have wrong information. Sometimes they say no free parking when there is parking, sometimes they say a meal and break will be provided and there’s none provided etc. Sometimes some of the businesses don’t treat us well as well etc so yeah. I sent a report about the captains as well so I’m hoping that you guys actually do something about it. So yeah. Thank you. Smh.

The only thing I'm not very happy about is the review system how you can't really find out or appeal a review. My 1st job I went to at front wave arena I worked over night and stayed late because I was asked. I believe I was mistaken for a different person because I got a 1 star which has effectted me ever since with no way to plea my case. I was told how I worked so hard showed up early left late and poured sweat the whole time. Not even sure who rated me which is messed up I thought. That part needs to be better and over seen because I lost allot of jobs because of it! Never had another one only compliments.

I like it very much I think they could have more regular shifts there was like a few weeks where nothing was available and also the last 3 shifts I worked there was no one there and the app I messaged and they had me sir there 3 or 4 hours the first time 7 the second time today I left at hour 3 before today when I would message somebody on the app I had responses back very close to immediately today after they assigned me someone they sent me one message and told me I was clocked in and then they never responded to me again and I texted like at least 10 or 15 times and it did not get not one response back and that was super very frustrating

Places I was sent to work, I was treated horribly by the company. Many times I was marked as a “no show” but I worked my full shift. Unless I was someone the higher ups knew, I wouldn’t get a good review, asked to work again, or just refused to allow work. And it shows who is working already on the shift that I try to sign up for, the other people working were those I’ve worked with before that didn’t show no effort in working. So good workers are pushed aside if you ain’t “cool enough” to work again.

I haven’t seen much rewards for going gold, all else ok, if I sign up for shifts I would like to see higher paying shifts that are at the same time, that way it’s more rewarding and rewards companies that pay better. Otherwise ok.

1. I love the flexibility that comes from the ability to choose the shifts I can take on, without the need to ask permission, or provide an explanation if a life situation arises that I determine takes priority over the posted work schedule. In my life, outside of work, I actively support a dear friend who has been experiencing a mental health crisis. Instawork's preemptive flexibility allows me to pick up shifts at the last minute and that is huge when it comes to supporting a friend or loved one who's life situation is punctuated by inflexibility. In other words, I can get work when I know I can show up, while never needing to ask for a day off because a very real, unplanned emergency arises. Thank you. 2. Sometimes the app is glitchy and the location service components malfunction in a way that creates headaches. I love the concept. I'd have given Instawork 4 stars had the location serviced component not glitched out and delivered a metaphorical headache. Cheers.

It was a good experience but Instawork allowed a a site to short my pay and other pay and continue to allow Jitsu to post shifts when more than one person has complained about them. It makes me not want to take shifts anymore

I really enjoyed the job I went and did. That part of it was a good experience. I had trouble with the app though. For one thing I could not clock in. The instructions didn't clearly say how to clock in. It was just stressful arriving at the job and looking around and asking people questions about how to clock in. No one knew anything about how to clock in not even the contact in the app. So trying to figure that out and trying to get it done and not be late was stressful. On top of that my phone kept saying I was not at the location. I was finally able to clock in a few hours after I started working but now I don't know if I will be paid from when I started or from when I clocked in. It says it is still pending review. When I tried to adjust the hours it would not let me. Also when you try and contact anyone through the app you can never talk to a human being and the chat bot or whatever will say your issue is not big enough to be escalated to a human. So I loved the work but navigating the app was frustrating.
