I am a retired Executive Chef on Social Security and because of inflation and the big beautiful Bill, I have to work to make ends meet and pay for my escalated health insurance premium. I chose Instawork because it is known to place people in the food industry. I have been cancel 5 times and my last job I had to spend 25.00 for equipment needed for a general labor job and drive 45 minutes which cost me 30 round trip only to be pay for 1 hour of 17.00 before taxes. Unfair. There should be a minimum 2-4 hours and it is hard finding shifts in my living area in my industry that is not already taken. I have had to cancel twice because the site was too far and wasn’t worth the trip for 4 hours after gas and tolls only to profit 20.00.
