Beware – This Company Is a Scam Do not use Instant Car Fix. My experience with this company has been an absolute nightmare. Their mechanic improperly disposed of two used brake rotors from a previous job by dumping them in my garbage cans without informing me. When I contacted the company to have the mechanic return and remove the debris, it was nearly impossible to get a response or resolution. Customer service is outsourced overseas and is completely ineffective. They routinely lie, claiming calls disconnect automatically after a certain time, promising to transfer you to a supervisor and then hanging up, insisting no supervisors are available, or even falsely claiming to be the supervisor themselves. When the mechanic finally returned, he retaliated by throwing motor oil all over my garage door—an act caught clearly on my home’s security cameras. The police were notified, and we are pursuing criminal charges. Avoid this company at all costs. They are unprofessional, dishonest, and potentially dangerous. This is not a legitimate business—it's a scam.

I am give this company a 1/2 star. Wish it could be 0 stars. This company is a fraud. I paid them to do a job. They sent a mechanic that didn't know what he was doing and refused to fix my car and wote up a false work order and would not give me a copy of it saying the company will send me an invoice. The next the mechanics report showed he'd did the work. And now I can't drive my car and they refuse to resolve the issue. Do not use this company. I have been trying to resolve an issue with my brakes since last week. I am a repeat customer and in the past have had no issues with this company. No one returns my calls. I have sent several emails to the manager Isaac who will not call me back. I would like to come out and have a look at the brake job they did about three months ago. It seems they want more money without even looking at the problem. I have talked with several customer service representatives and all they can say is email Isaac who won't call me back. They are a scam and have terrible customer service. Just look at their recent reviews on Yelp. I am going to continue to call until my matter is resolved. I am also reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. No customer should be treated like this.

I booked Instant Car Fix to replace both front and rear brakes on my VW Tiguan. I was very clear when I told the rep I needed parts and labor included. I was quoted $520.40, and the invoice even said OEM — which implies they’d be supplying the original parts. But when the mechanic finally showed up two hours late, he asked me if I had the parts. I told him no, because I paid for everything up front. Turns out, they sent him a completely different invoice that said I was supplying the parts, which I NEVER agreed to. I asked for a refund and was told no — just because the mechanic showed up, even though no work was done. They then tried to charge me $1,500 for a new quote with parts and labor. I refused. Since then, I’ve been calling and emailing — no one replies. They keep saying they’ll call me back and never do. And here’s where it gets worse… The mechanic gave me a screenshot of their internal messages. One of their reps actually called me a “crazy customer” after admitting I paid for labor without parts — which was their miscommunication. I was insulted and dismissed, even after calmly trying to resolve it. The mechanic even told me he’s leaving the company because they don’t pay him on time and treat customers like this all the time. This was a complete scam, and I’m sharing screenshots to prove it. Avoid this company at all costs — they lie, gaslight, and hide behind fake reviews.

I had a very disappointing experience with Instant Car Fix. I provided all my information accurately, paid the full amount they initially quoted, and selected an appointment time offered by their own system. However, 30 minutes before the service window ended and without anyone showing up they suddenly demanded an extra payment that was never disclosed at any point. I was never informed of any hidden fees or additional charges based on location or time. This lack of transparency and last-minute price change is completely unprofessional. I met all the requirements from the beginning, and for them to alter the cost at the last minute is both unfair and unacceptable. I do not recommend this service.

The company misdiagnosed the problem, recommended an unnecessary repair, and poorly implemented it, which caused additional damage to my car. I then requested a refund. They directed me to an extremely lengthy fake claims process, and they never responded despite my reaching out more than five times. Buyer beware: incompetent mechanics, horrendous customer service, and fraudulent refund business practices.

Customer service is severely lacking. It's from a call center, so forget about thinking this company is local to your area. They will not let you contact the mechanic unless you see them fixing your car. Out of four appointments, three were no shows. The one kept appointment they showed for was only a diagnostic. I'm sitting here with the parts having to find someone else to do the work. Perhaps make realistic appointment times for them and don't offer next day turn around when you know they will not make the appointment? If your contracted mechanics cannot keep up with the demand, hire more or discontinue the service for that area. This company reeks of tech bros that have no clue about fixing cars but had the capital to start the business. I will never use your service, nor recommend it to anyone

If I could give no stars, I would. Major lack of transparency and communication with me at the heart of their problems. Customer service is very lacking. Didn't even get to interact with the mechanic because he never showed up after four days. Apparently the delay was because of the rain, but no one told me that until day four, and I got several texts over the four days saying he was on his way, was arriving soon, etc, which were obviously just all mistakes or wrong. To their credit, they gave me a refund (I think it was processed) after I sent an email with my grievances and threatened to call the BBB. For comparison, I called a local mechanic and had an appointment ready the next morning and everything was find. Consider me fired up.
