A very asinine service. How do you deny a check and tell me I’m high risk when I literally have the money and it’s a legitimate check?! Told me it’s high risk. FROM A FORTUNE 500 company?! How do all of the pay services have this app handling their money ?!

Utterly useless service. I’ve tried to use it through Venmo AND PayPal, with all types of obviously valid checks, from issuers like Nationwide Bank, payroll providers, etc., and it constantly denies the transaction. And for the record, no, I have no record of “bad checks” or other nefarious activity. If you want to squander 8 minutes of your life and still have no cash in your pocket, have at it!

I’m not someone who cashes checks often, but once in a while I get small settlement or insurance checks in the mail. I’ve used Indigo Money through Venmo before with no problems. This time was completely different.I tried to cash a pre‑printed class‑action settlement check — the same kind I had cashed twice before. The app walked me through the usual steps: take photos of the front and back, then write VOID on the check and upload another picture. I did exactly what they asked. After I had already ruined the check, indigo rejected it. No explanation. No help. Nothing. I reached out to Indigo and Venmo, and neither could tell me why they instructed me to void a perfectly good check only to reject it afterward. I had to call the law office that issued the check, and now I have to wait about 30 days for a replacement. To make matters worse, Indigo suddenly closed my account with no reason given. This whole experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and honestly disrespectful to customers. I will never use Indigo Money again nor will I refer anyone to their services. What if I wasn't able to receive a new check. I'm not rich and I needed that money to pay a bill. If I was told that it was not being accepted before I ruined the check due to their directions that is one thing and it that would of been that's fine. They instructed me what to do, I did it and then they denied it. Thanks to them I was late on my bill, had major headache plus they wasted my time. Horrible way to conduct business and no concern for their customers issues. Just ridiculous.

The absolute worst! Declined 2 checks from places that were previously approved before for no reason at all, and one of them was a payroll check from the United States Postal Service.Talked to customer service and they were incredibly rude and unhelpful, giving me absolutely no reason at all as to why my checks were denied. They basically told me that when I deposit a check into Venmo, it’s pretty much a crapshoot, and I just have to hold my breath and hope for the best. They absolutely refused to give me any concrete reason as to why my checks were denied stating it was for “privacy reasons”, which doesn’t even begin to make sense.This is absolutely no way to do business! Stay far away! I am very seriously considering canceling my Venmo account altogether now that I know that this is who they do business with. One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. Zero stars. Venmo needs to sever all ties with them and do business with a more reputable company.

after them approving my check to be cashed in the funds loaded onto my card it was declined. and instead of them funding a different card on my account they said they cannot do that until they find out why it was declined from their financial records which can take 24 hours. but it's the weekend. a holiday weekend at that I've called and everybody was rude. so now because of their system in their era I have to be without my money for 4 days. after I receive my money I will be reporting them.

This company has ruined too many of my checks by rejecting them. I get if — it’s 2026 and who even uses checks? Well, my employer and my clients. This company is trash enough to make me cancel my affiliated PayPal account which I’ve had for 24 years.

Was trying to cash a check have had no issues in the past took picture of the front took picture of the back check was approved just had to write void on it. Did it in the exact same manner I have every other time and then I'm told it was not accepted. On a Friday on a Payday. Was given an email saying it was not accepted and I can no longer use their services even though in the frequently asked questions there is the possibility of resubmitting the photo but I was not given it so now it's Friday I just wrote void on a check that was supposed to be the final step in getting my money in minutes No instead I have to now go through the weekend broke as hell. Explain why I couldn't make the payments I had arranged to pay on payday. Terrible business practices. Don't even follow their own policies. Terrible customer service. Bullshit a company can do something like that to someone means of survival. Money they've been waiting for and relied on and need. Just to be screwed out of it for no reason with no explanation and no justification

I would give it zero stars if that was an option. First they charge too much money to deposit into your account and then second they will deny it for who knows why after they approved it in prior weeks. Try calling customer service and you wait forever to talk to a person.
