Thanks for reaching out. We are indeed sorry to hear that you did not experience the sound reduction that you had expected. While we offer a SnugFit gurantee to ensure proper fit and a limited lifetime warranty to cover manufacturing integrity, the many unique variables in each sound environment prevent us from providing a guarantee on sound reduction. Sound can enter through areas other than the window openings and construction materials in walls, ceilings, etc. can add to the complexity of a sound environment. It is for this reason that our fit specialists discuss the variability of sound reduction performance before an order is placed. Many situations require additional soundproofing methods in conjunction with our inserts to solve the unique sound issues. Thanks again for engaging with us.

Noise can be a tricky thing and problem solving can take stages. Sometimes clients want to try out a first round of windows and purchase more if the problem is not solved, and we understand this is the path you preferred. As discussed, not treating one of the window openings in a room is unlikely to completely resolve the noise issue - it is like trying to stop a leaking bathtub but not covering up one of the holes. The next step in solving your noise issue is to treat this larger window. We are happy to speak to you about this further if you would like to discuss.

We appreciate all feedback from both customers and those such as yourself that have investigated but not experienced the Indow window inserts. We apologize for not doing a better job in communicating the value of our product and wish you the very best in your search for a solution that better fits your needs. At Indow we focus on paying all of our employees a living wage, sourcing our acrylic and tubing domestically, providing a comprehensive and exacting measuring system, a guarantee of fit, and a lifetime warranty. These are not inexpensive to achieve, but we have managed to do so while staying cost competitive in the market and with a reasonable profit margin. From a performance standpoint our Acoustic Grade Inserts generally have a higher STC rating when installed in front of existing windows than a standard double pane window will have making it more effective at reducing sound. Please be aware that if you find a product for substantially less than Indow charges there is a good chance that you are looking at a soft film based product rather than a hard glazing such as what is used in our product line. We use a hard glazing for performance, aesthetic and durability.
