After traveling 24hrs from the other side of the world I spent over an hour at the car rental counter of Alamo SLC Utah..a procedure that should have been simple and quick as I had pre booked and Paid for , turned into such a long winded drama . Then to top it off the car smelt of cigarettes and the interior was not clean at all, had not been cleaned from previous customers use. I was quite disgusted . Why do Car rental companies make life so difficult for very weary travellers.

We booked our 3 car hires from Australia before traveling to the US. Everything ran smoothly & we had no problems at any of the pick ups or drop offs. Even though the hire cost per day was reasonable, we found the drop off fees & taxes extremely expensive! We understand that the cars were dropped off in different states BUT felt the cars would be easily returned to the appropriate states, considering we were told to choose a car with "California" plates when we were picking up in Las Vegas! So not only did we return the car to the appropriate state, we got slugged a $150 + taxes fee!

I was somewhat sceptical about ibookacar as their price was so much cheaper than booking direct through the rental company, but went ahead anyway in the hope of saving some money. We booked two SUV's, one from Seattle, and the other from Chicago, and aside from minor issue, had a great experience each time. Alamo staff were helpful, (especially Judi in Seattle) and the whole transaction was pretty smooth. The issue encountered was the same both times but readily solved. Whilst Alamo staff had no difficulty finding my booking in their system, they needed "e-confirmation" direct from ibookacar (which was apparently NOT received), or hard copy which I did not have. A copy of my confirmation saved on my iPad was unacceptable to them, so I had to find somewhere I could access WiFi in order to email it to them. 2nd time around I phoned Alamo from the airport (where I had WiFi access) to ask if this was going to be a problem but was told "No" by both the person in head office in St Louis, and someone in the local office. Both were incorrect! Problem solved though when the manager allowed me to access my emails via his computer and email the confirmation to them. On this experience, I would definitely use ibookacar again, and would happily recommend them to others.

La reservación me esperaba tal como la contraté. El único problema que tuve fue que el gps que me dieron se volvía loco, se reseteaba o dejaba de funcionarby eso me causó inconvenientes más de una vez...finalmente murió y lo tuve que cambiar...reclamé al momento del cierre de cuenta en Alamo y me aplicaron refund compensando los malos ratos y gastos causados. Convendría adbertir a las empresas de car rental que modernicen estas herramientas.

Antes de contratar los servicios, busqué los comentarios de esta empresa y la mayoría eran muy buenos. Lo comprobé en forma personal ya que fue excelente tanto los servicios y la atención, ya que debí hacer algunas consultas por chat. En mi caso creo haber recibido casi mas de lo esperado. Todo salió perfecto. Recomiendo a IBookaCar.

Excellent service and efficiency. Car hire was cheaper than any other quote. Arrived USA with pre-paid voucher and got first class service all the way. Would definitely recommend ibookacar for anyone renting in USA.
