Worst bank ever. Charging fees for paypal payments and google payments and for $ payments not international payments. Worst customer service, no solutions just stating non sense information. Would never recommend to anyone. Fees are also higher than actual payments made.

HORRIBLE BANK TO DO BUSINESS WITH!!! I was looking to get a preapproval for a mortgage and was using an exclusive first time home buying fund. This fund required me to have a mortgage with a bank or credit union on their preferred lender list and Huntington Bank was one of them. I applied and it took them TWO WEEKS to get me a pre-approval. But guess what? They pre-approved me for almost HALF of what I was asking! The mortgage loan officer told me I wouldn't get approved for the full amount but would get pre-approved for roughly 75k less than what I was asking. Something about a more restrictive DTI ratio that they have to specifically use since I was using a fund for my DPA. I thought fine, I could still find a property within that amount. Within the two weeks waiting for a pre-approval, he kept following up with me and telling me underwriting is still working on it, they're trying to approve you for a higher amount (which was supposedly declined by upper management) and some other BS. Low and behold two weeks later, I finally get a pre-approval. But wait, it was for almost 100k LESS than what I was promised by the mortgage officer. No explanation, just "here is your pre-approval, have fun shopping for a property for this amount and we look forward to being your mortgage provider". I do not know what to say or think. Should I be offended that I was preapproved for a significantly lesser amount than I was asking? The fact he was able to make a bold claim and it ends up being something completely different really irritates me. What a snake! I do not do well with liars and people of that nature! I applied with another bank a day or so later and they were able to preapprove me within 2 HOURS on the same I applied. Because they're also a qualified lender for the fund I would be using for a DPA, I explained to them what happened with Huntington and asked if I should expect the same thing. They said "NO". They're even giving me a better interest rate than Huntington. At this point, using Huntington is not worth it for anything! STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKED INDIVIDUALS!

Do not use the Standby cash they change the amount allowed to borrow after you borrow and it will put you in the negative. It does more damage than good.

This bank is trash. Run! I could write for days on my bad experiences with them. All I have to say is look up all the lawsuits they have been involved in. Look at the BBB comments

They approved my company for a $250K SBA loan. I had to use it before 6 months expired. Since I didn't have an immediate need for it, I wound up not using it. In my book that is called being fiscally prudent. After 10 months I did need it, but was told I had to re-apply. Since my company had grown 3x since the initial approval, I thought it was just going to be a formality. Boy was I wrong !! They wound up not approving it for a number of ridiculous reasons that somehow didn't matter the first time around. Underwriters are either incompetent or were told not to approve any more loans since the banking industry is in turmoil due to terrible management. I wouldn't get anywhere near this bank even if it was the last one standing.

I truly hate this bank and hate I ever opened an account. I'm signed up to overdraft my account. Past few weeks it's been declined even though they NEVER stated there's a limit to the amount of times u can overdraft!!! This bank has caused me hell the past few weeks and struggled!!!! They should be more informative with policies instead of making it up as they go!!!!! Worse bank ever will be closing my account and definitely wouldn't RECOMMEND!!! They also lie and say u get your check 2 days ahead when it's only a day!!! Nothing but false advertisement!!!

They do not know how to close an account then turn around and charge the customer. When you call them they say nothing they can do about it. Worst bank ever

Worst bank ever. Doesn't know how to tell the truth. They hold there own money a day charge you interest on the money they were supposed to send overnight. Always has an excuse for everything and doesn't take responsibility for anything. I'm sure they are the next to fail which will actually be better for consumers.
