When it comes to the tracking of activity on Hubstaff, it is measured by the computer input, mouse or keyboard, as detected by Hubstaff when the tracking of time was taking place. Of course, not all types of work carried out on a computer require computer/mouse input to take place often - such as calls and meetings. There is a setting present on Hubstaff, that allows for activity to not be recorded for specific project(s). For the scenario in question, we do recommend creating project(s) that are for the respective tasks - such as "Calls" and/or "Meetings", and disabling the activity tracking for that. This is something that a member of the organisation on Hubstaff will be able to do for you. Furthermore, there is a specific idle time threshold that needs to be met, for the time tracker to enter idle time, after not detecting any activity for a certain period of time. By default, the active default idle time out is 5 minutes in duration, though that can again be adjusted as per the needs of your organisation. I would recommend that you bring these concerns to a member of your organisation's management - as they should be able to use Hubstaff in order to make changes to make the time tracking more realistic for your organisation and needs as Hubstaff user. Overall, the platform is highly customisable, it is down to the organisation using it about how the set up will be put in place, though.
