Hubstaff just didn't do what we wanted it to do. We have ended up with Clockify instead as the Hubstaff time tracking app on Windows Desktop is very rigid. It doesn't let you easily pause / resume or change the start time. I've used a few time tracking apps before and my boss asked me to use Hubstaff. But I was so frustrated with it that we only lasted a week before moving to something else. I now have to migrate my hours over to the new app. Still, it's a matter of perspective. I wanted something a bit more flexible as I'm a developer. But maybe if you run a call center or something, then the rigidity of Hubstaff will be beneficial to you.

The product is just fine, the only weak spot is the mobil app. Its meant to use for "workers" not for supervisors.

Why I would recommend using hubstaff Other than the obvious method to track my outsourced staff's time, I encountered a few extremely positive experiences working with this company. 1) I had one outsourced worker that was overbilling me for over a thousand dollars. This person put me in a very stressful situation and even went to my countries consulate to bring up the HR issue stating that I was withholding wages. Without the proof and hubstaff screenshots that I had from that individual (showing them working for other people), this ended the ex-staff from heckling and barring them from opening-up a case. 2) I had a virtual assistant who I assigned directly to review screenshots and keep people on task and give warnings. That was their sole job, so it wasn't tedious and it was cost-effective. You can also integrate it with Asana and make it very task-oriented. 3) It's pricing per the number of staff, so I compared the cost of using a built-in outsourced supplier and tracker (i.e. Upwork) and it was significantly cheaper. Upwork keeps raising prices every year to the point where one month using their service was equivalent to 1 quarter for a staff of about 6 workers. Plus you can choose your own payment merchant and get lower fees on transfers. 4) My company needed to take a pause, and my plan was on annual renewal. When I noticed this on my credit card statement, I contacted support and they refunded the payment even though it was over a week since they billed. They knew I hadn't used it and they gave me no trouble at all during this process. None. I've used other services from major corporations like Salesforce, and those ones tend to screw you over. When you sign the dotted line, and you stop using it and want out, they will sue you (literally). So when you realize it doesn't deliver what it is supposed to and want out, they not only stab you in the back but also give a little twist to make sure they win in the end. But hubstaff refunded first, then asked afterward why. That's what I call a customer-focused company and that's why I'm going out of my way to write this review. Once I'm able to get my company sorted out, I will definitely continue to use hubstaff and use their talent services too. Thank you

This is a fantastic company. There is some room for improvement with some of their products but overall, its really a great too for helping to tun my small business.

Hubstaff has been great to manage our team of 35. It makes it easy to keep track of the work everyone is doing, and then pay them for it once it is completed. The support team is available night and day. Lots of new features come out each month so we know they are working hard to add features.
