Fraudulent! Avoid at all costs.
I took advantage of an offer earlier this year, 60 contacts for £1! Too good to be true? You're right it is! After receiving the contacts and realising they were incredibly uncomfortable for me, clearly I wouldn't be needing any more. In the meantime my card had expired. Despite emailing Hubble explaining I no longer required the subscription, I received 2 emails advising that they were unable to take payment from my expired card. I replied to one of these emails AGAIN having to explain that I no longer required the subscription. After receiving my new bank card and registering it and updating on PayPal, I soon after received an email confirmation of my hubble order? What hubble order I thought? I checked my online banking and came to realise that Hubble had deducted nearly £30 from my new card! So again I tried to contact them by email and by phone. I was told by a call handler at hubble that a months worth of lenses had been sent, even though they had been informed TWICE that I didn't want them, and there was nothing they could do to retreive the order and give me my money back at this point! I had to wait to receive the order, and then return it to them. I was provided with a postage label I could print out. I reluctantly agreed to this but £30 is a lot of money when the country is on lock down and my partner being the sole wage earner and being self employed meant that finances were tight. The lenses eventually arrived and I printed out the email with the order number, enclosed it inside and attached the print out label. My partner very carefully qued in the post office taking special care as I'm at extreme risk if I contract covid and have been shielding since February so couldn't go myself. The post office staff member said that this was a free post label that could've just been put in a post box. When my partner asked for a receipt she was told that receipts weren't provided for those kinds of labels. Not knowing what else to do and already having spent 40 mins quing in the post office, my partner left it with them to send. I emailed hubble again advising that it had been sent via the post office but they couldn't provide a receipt as it was just a bog standard freepost label. I was told that this wasn't a problem and they aim to receive it back and process the refund within 4 weeks. It's now over 2 months since they were returned, and 3 months since they took the payment and I've not had my money back. This morning, the same lady I've been emailing asked me for a receipt from the post office! I'm so angry with Hubble. They were informed that I wished to cancel TWICE before helping themselves to funds from my new bank card WITHOUT PERMISSION! They're disgusting and honestly even if I did want contact lenses in the future, I don't care how cheap they are I will never use them again and would never recommend anyone else use them either! I want my money back Hubble I've waited long enough! Hubble Order #421885 (before they try to claim this isn't a genuine review)
