I ordered a book. Got an email. Then I got a confirmation email the same day. Two days later they cancelled my order due to their error.

buying from HPB Emerald on Amazon, terrible customer service!! Ordered by mistake online Sunday 1:00pm, cancelled 20 minutes later through Amazon, yet company tells me 3 days later they "can't"(won't) cancel, so shipped anyhow. And then when I tried contacting them directly, they told me "it's an Amazon problem" THey can't stop a delivery in 2 1/2 days?

I drive 30 mins to go there and sell 3 boxes of my mint condition books. I expected at the minimum $30 for all the nice books which included a nice set and I was insulted by the $10 offer. I was in no mood to rebox and bring home and I probably wasted more money in gas. I will let all my friends know to stay away from there. I know a lot of people that go there and I will warn them that they are a rip off. It’s unethical to take advantage of people.

I went to sell my childhood collection of Magic tree House Merlin Missions books. 17 hardbacks and 21 paperbacks- all in perfect or near-perfect condition. I expected a low price, maybe 30 dollars. While I was waiting in the store for the offer, I looked around and saw a few of the books I was selling to them. One copy was beat up and was selling for four dollars- that was only a paperback. Then I was called, and I got my offer. Five dollars. I was shocked. They were going to get about three hundred dollars for this and I was going to get five dollars? There is no morality when you have no respect for not just the books but the seller. I am saddened that people still proceed to sell to them. I was not looking for money but five dollars is absurd.

I've seen the 1/2 price book prices go up and now many if the most recent authors are going for the same prices as Amazon's new book prices. In terms of the selling of books and games, it's a total ripoff. I logged 20+ items in the store yesterday and received an offer of 17.00 most books came from them or brand new from Amazon. Not even 1.00 per book on average. I'll just donate to a nursing home!

I'd like to thank you for the $8.25 I got for three big boxes of books. Then showing me that you should be called "At Least $5." Abe Books rocks.

Oh my goodness, what a rip off organization! First they practically want you to donate your books (by the ridiculous deal they offer!) Second they are inconsistent in their practice. Two years ago I was super motivated to get rid of books because I was moving. They offered $25 for 35 great books over 35, then they asked me if I wanted them to recycle the other 40 books! I said yes. Third, after offering the scam $25 for some 30 awesome books (some of which I purchased from them), I wanted to take back over 25 books they didn't choose. They said the $25 was for the whole deal!!! What? You will give me $25 then keep the rejected books as well? YES. 😯 I told them no deal. I will go give them away instead. I packed up my boxes and left. Fourth, customer service sucks when you start asking questions or challenging their business practice. They grew inpatient with tight faces and telling me to take my books back if I didn't accept their deal. Indeed so. Wow, I guess you have to be desperately in need of some cash to let them dupe you.

Give in 6 Jjk books and some bible books and said they will give me 12.86 for all of them that’s enough to buy one Jjk book😡
