First time taking a booking on Houfy, guest had issues paying through Square (my connected payment method). We figured it out. The booking process didn’t collect the guest phone number and contact details for me (the host) which I thought odd, also on the rental agreement I would like it to show the names of all guests staying with in my place. The Guest uploaded a picture of themselves instead of the requested ID so it would be better if there were some kind of clearer instruction on that section. I am learning too, so there may be things I could have set up better from my end.

I love HOUFY! It’s a great way to book vacation homes without all the added booking fees.

We stayed 5 days at the Pool House Retreat With Guest House in Port Charlotte, FL in early April. The house is in a quiet neighborhood with walking trails across the road. The house was up to date and immaculate. The pool is awesome. It is large, heated, and in a covered lanai. There is plenty of pool, equipment, beach equipment, and towels. You will not be disappointed if you stay in this house.

I’m not quite a year in to the short term rental business but Houfy has been a great fit for our direct booking site! It makes things super easy and looks just like a booking platform so it is easy for our guest as well! I hope to build my direct booking business with Houfy in the future years!

As a host, the reservation made by our guest went very smooth. As expected, I was notified that a booking occurred and all of the information I needed to process the booking on my end was visible. I have not heard any complaints from the guest about the booking process, so everything appears to have been smooth on their end.

Houfy is not new, and it is no longer free, does not work very well, help is non existent (you can post on the Facebook page, but any criticisms are likely to get you booted off the page), they are now partnered to sync Airbnb calendar and pricing through Hospitable, but do not sync pricing and are only known to be compatible with Pricelabs as a dynamic pricing tool individually.
