They sell their clients’ data thus the 1 star. I use the “hide my email” apple feature so that each account I set up online is associated with a unique email that is made up and forwards to my actual email address. I have been a honeydew client for a little over 3 months and received a GLP-1 spam a few days ago to the same email address I have only ever used for Honeydew and iPledge (US gov’t site). Maybe they were hacked or maybe the data was sold by the US govt (nothing would surprise me at this point). But the most logical explanation is that Honeydew sold it - same as MD Live (look up the lawsuit) and all these telehealth companies playing fast and loose with the public’s information. Other than this huge breach of trust, I like Honeydew. They’re responsive and timely and make it easy to stay on track.

Thanks for the detailed note. We want to be up front: Honeydew does not sell patient data and never has. We don’t share patient contact info with marketers or data brokers, and the partners we work with to deliver care are bound by the same privacy obligations we are. We can’t say where a spam message originated, but it’s very unlikely it came from us or anyone we work with. If you’d like us to take a look, please forward the message to [email protected] and we’ll do that. Glad the rest of the experience has worked well for you. - Connor @ Honeydew

Almost no guidance and professional help from this company. They are just in the business of selling drugs and hoping for no human interaction.

Was not told beforehand that I would need to pay for many more blood draws then what was advertised due to being on trt. When I wasnt prescribed my original first month's dose, I was forced to fill out a questionnaire stating that I had taken the medecine. This seems like a money grab and once you pay in nothing is tailored to your needs and information is not given upfront.

Response time was not efficient.

Would give a 0 stars if i can. The coordinators are not much help at all. They respond late. Ive been closed out of my window before and will most likely be closed out if it again. They tell you last minute about tests they seem to not know whats going on. I really don’t want to continue my membership it isnt worth it at all. I will not recommend to anyone at all.

I’m disappointed with Honeydew’s pricing structure for Accutane treatment. Women and men are charged the same price for the same four-month membership, but women effectively receive one less month of treatment at the beginning because of the required pregnancy testing and waiting period. I understand why the pregnancy testing requirements exist and that they are necessary for women who can become pregnant. My issue is that Honeydew still charges women the full four-month price even though that membership does not provide four months of treatment in the same way it does for men. If the treatment period is reduced because of a requirement that applies specifically to female patients, the pricing should take that difference into account. At the very least, Honeydew should be transparent about the fact that women are paying the same amount for less treatment time. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect customers to receive comparable value for the same price. Honeydew should reconsider this pricing structure or offer an adjustment/credit to women who lose a month of treatment because of the required pregnancy-testing process. Edit: reply to Connor You say that the additional cost is justified because your team does work during that waiting period. But men also require a review of medical information, lab results, a treatment care plan, i-pledge enrollment and pharmacy coordination so that they can get started safely. You said that this occurs during that month where the women wait but men also receive that same care without the wait. You stated that it isn’t fair to charge women more because they require “more work”, but isn’t that exactly what is occurring? In regard to transparency, just because the pricing model is transparent does not mean that the pricing model is appropriate or ethical

Hi Beth, thank you for writing this. We hear your concern and want to address the points you raised directly. You're right that a woman starting Accutane in America waits roughly a month before starting medication, and a man doesn't. We know how frustrating that is for anyone who has decided to start treatment and wants to get going. We'd shorten it if we could. iPLEDGE is a federal requirement for every isotretinoin prescriber in the country, and the pregnancy testing and waiting period are set by that program, not by us. We're mandated to follow it exactly. On whether women get less for the same price: the membership covers the care that surrounds an Accutane protocol, not the medication. Nobody pays for medication until a prescription is actually filled, so there's no medication cost during the wait. What the membership covers that month is the work of getting a patient started safely. The provider reviews medical information and lab results and builds a treatment plan. The care team enrolls the patient in iPLEDGE, confirms each required step, and coordinates with labs and the pharmacy so the prescription can go out the moment the window opens. A lot of this happens in the background while the patient waits. For a female patient, this is actually more work for our team than for a male patient, not less. We don't charge more for it, because we don't think that would be fair. Because we pay our clinicians and care coordinators for all of this work, we have to charge as soon as the care process begins. We wish we could discount the waiting period for female patients, but there are real labor costs during that month, and that's what makes the care happen. On transparency: we try to make the 30-day wait clear in the timelines shown during onboarding, but we know there's a lot to take in when someone is just getting started. We're continually improving the onboarding experience to set expectations better up front. Our care team is always happy to make it clear what to expect next. Anyone with questions can reach out to them at any point. Connor @ Honeydew

My pregnancy test was received for 5 days and was still not confirmed in iPledge even after messaging to ask for it to be reviewed. I had to change providers completely to avoid missing my window and being locked out. I had everything completed and submitted as instructed and ended up having to pay for an entirely different service, which at least was worth it as they were able to confirm me and send my prescription in time for me to pick it up and not delay my treatment.
