Our experience with selling our home through Homebay was outstanding!! Plus we saved 40k in the process! Expert service and advice. We have sold homes by owner, help u sell, and agents but the Homebay way was by far the best outcome financially! I highly recommend this service!!!

I have been using Home Bay for a few reasons - the biggest reason though is how much I'll get in return for buying a house in Southern California. The prices for homes in the San Diego market are so high, that it continually gives me the burdern to enter into bidding wars locally. Now, here's Home Bay. Because their agent will give me half of their commission I can get about $7k back in my wallet to place towards closing cost, or use that extra money to help out with other bills. Meaning I don't mind going into bidding a little higher - I'll still recover and place on a higher down payment post contingencies (You can't see it but my im smiling right now because this is what I totally need) Had I gone with my "Local Real Estate Professional" i'd be making no money, the open houses they'd take me to would be in their network with only their friends (been there done that). Down with bogus realtors, up with Home Bay. The service has been nothing less of phenomenal. I've been working with Matt Smith and Renata Rios, great customer service. I really cannot ask for more than that! =)

I'm a fan. First-class from start to finish. In my opinion, the only way to sell a home. I will never pay a high commission again to a listing agent. They charged me a flat fee, which save me almost $10,000 on the sale of my home. Great people to work with!

I would recommend Home Bay to anyone and everyone looking to sell their property! The quality of service you receive for a small fee is outstanding.

I wasn’t happy with how long it took for our house to sell (1 year) but your personnel (Ryan Prazen) was very professional, patient and informational. It is definitely a different way of selling because it seems very distant and other Realators say it’s to impersonal. But, as Ryan said, it’s possible it could have been an economical situation. We also had some major personal things happen on our end during that time. However, in the end, Homebay saved us over $6,000, so that’s a very important bottom line when selling a home. Once we started getting offers and finally selling the house, Homebay handled everything. We had 3 “Pendings” fall through, not Homebay or our fault, but there was no backlash or complaints from them about all the paperwork that had to be completed.

Yes and thank you for sticking it out with Home Bay thru to close :) We recently had another Home Bay Customer in Modesto (4617 Via Brezza) that decided not to stick it out because the local agents claimed/told seller that the reason the seller's property was not selling was because they were using Home Bay - a Technology Brokerage. This seller was last listed with Home Bay at $391,000. They re-listed with a Traditional Agent at $396K. It's now been reduced to $389,000, still sitting un-sold with the traditional agent. If the traditional agents theory was correct (the reason it's not selling is Home Bay) then it very we'll should have been sold by now. What we find in tracking our past customers that re-list is that over 95% of the properties end up selling for less then the last listed price with Home Bay. This suggests that it is not Home Bay but more so simple economics. Again I just wanted to thank you for sticking it out and seeing it thru with us - we really appreciate it/you.

As a seller, we had a good experience using HomeBay. In our case, the Bay area market is hot and there was good confidence that home would sell quickly. The issue was really what would be a good price to list at. Given that we had a good feel for the home prices in our area, we felt that paying a 2.5% to 3% fee to a listing agent did not add as much value. By going with Home Bay, it allowed us to take control of decisions, yet have someone take care of the legal aspects of the paperwork, minus the big, fat commission! The photograph company that HomeBay arranged was excellent, they did full justice to the lighting and the staging that we had done to present the house well! From a buyers perspective, I had at least 3 agents tell me that they had to wait for responses and found it frustrating to talk to a different agent each time. But they ended up reaching out to us directly and the communication was smooth after that! In fact, we preferred the direct interaction with the potential buyer's agents and clients. When we bought our home a few months earlier, we had an agent and the seller had an agent. For a straightforward question, we had to go through a chain of communication (us to our agent to their agent to seller and back!) and that was very irritating and time consuming! 2 comments for improvements: One service that HomeBay can add is helping with staging the house. We got outside help and feel that made a big difference to how the house presented itself, and ultimately the final sale price. Another thing that HomeBay can make easier is to sort the reviews according to zip code. When i was trying to decide if we should go with HomeBay or not, i tried to search for homes around my area that had sold via HomeBay. I felt that finding a review on a home closer to my zip code should have been made easier. All in all, if you want to be involved in the sale process and not lose a lot in commissions, HomeBay is the way to go!
