The almost-cancelled-to-can't-live-without-it arc is one of our favorite stories to hear, even if it starts with a close call. What you said about teaching by talking is the whole thesis behind Hiro. Plenty of brilliant consultants and coaches have been stuck for years because the standard playbook demands writing and video they never wanted to make. Nuance, emotion, and intent carry through voice in a way text rarely matches, and building a business around that shouldn't require wrestling with plugins and half a dozen platforms. Hi Tyler, thanks for giving Hiro a try, and no hard feelings that it wasn't the right fit for you. I did want to correct the facts on the refund, though, because our logs tell a different story. We sent you a renewal reminder a week ahead of time on July 13, 2025, and it was opened twice before the renewal went through on July 19. When you reached out after the charge, we didn't say no. We issued your refund the very next morning, less than 48 hours after the renewal. You were never charged for a second year and we let you keep your account. I totally understand that details get fuzzy over time (you mention yourself you weren't sure of the dates), but I'd hate for future customers to think we keep money for a product someone isn't using. We don't. Wishing you the best!

Thank you for sharing this. Of all the ways people use Hiro, this is one of the ways that means the most to us. Giving trauma survivors a way to engage privately, at their own pace, without a camera pointed at them, is REALLY important work, and it takes real thought to build that kind of space. We're glad audio turned out to be the right medium for it, especially coming from someone trained in video. Congrats on the audiobook too!! Sounds like your people are in good hands, and we're glad to play a small part in that.

Thanks for taking the time to write this up. A 90% completion rate is a serious number. Most online courses land somewhere around 10%, so that result says a lot about how you've structured things. The expiring lessons feature works exactly the way you described it: a bit of urgency without the pressure, and short daily lessons that keep people moving.
