Three minor issues…
Three issues… First. was the wait time to get the gear. 8 weeks is far too long and might force others to seek other sources. Second, I just took a six day handgun shooting course and the mag holders are a little too flimsy/clumsy when it comes to tactical re-loads. Third, the straps to tighten the pouches need a way to be concealed better. I feel like I’m wearing a grass hula skirt and I wonder when that, or the exposed straps in general, will bite me in a high stress situation. Off the top of my head I do wonder if an outer gator-like cover might be appropriate. I will continue training and using the gear because overall I do seem to like the system but I do wonder if I fell for the “what looks cool and is popular vs what actually is the best”… trap. Honestly these seem better used on tactical vests vs. belts. I do have a Molle system belt and I love how the gear stays firmly in place. It is also very light and I like the softer feel. It is also quieter than traditional plastic and leather gear. Overall, I like it. These are just some ideas for consideration.

Lead times are long
Lead times are long. Took 8 weeks for a double pistol mag pouch, a single AR15 mag pouch, a dump pouch, and phone pouch.

The belts are well made and are…
The belts are well made and are comfortable to wear. It would be nice if the 2 inch duty belt had a cobra buckle option. Either way I can always swap the buckle later. Also, I thought about getting the shoulder straps for the belt but wish there was a more beefy option than the one offered. I wouldn’t mind they offered something with a little bit of padding and 2 inches wide in the shoulder area. I think the current offering is too thin if there a heavy load on the belt. I think an H-harness would be a nice option. If there was I probably would have added it to my initial order. I do wish shipping was faster but the website does mention that shipping can take up to 8 weeks. HSGI held up to that standard (closer to the 8 week mark mind you).
