Mary, my PA was wonderful! She asked the appropriate questions, verified my medical history and discussed things that were specific to my particular health and family history. She actually educated me on the medications, and I am going to start the medication I was not originally going to try. The PA was attentive and wanted to offer solutions; however, she said the company doesn't offer the medication I want in CA yet. I've read about all of the positive metabolic effects with tirzepatide and want to make a switch after semaglutide has stopped working for me. Instead she offered either an increased dose at a higher cost or a narcotic. I'm trying the increased dose for 1 month and then looking elsewhere for the tirzepatide if I don't get results.

I subscribed to Henry Meds for GLP-1 medication because I wanted to take pills instead of injections. I’ve been using the prescription for almost two months now, and honestly, it’s been a waste of money. The process itself was easy, though. You meet with a physician (or a nurse can’t remember) to review your health history and make sure you’re eligible for the medication. Once you’re cleared, they send the meds by mail. For me, since I was moving to another state, they expedited the shipping, and I got the meds in a few days. I was sent meds for two months! Here’s the problem: I was charged for one month during Labor Day, and I got a discount, which was great. But for the next month, they charged me after the discount period ended, so I didn’t get the discount for that month. The bigger issue is that despite following the same diet and exercise routine, the meds didn’t do anything for me. I actually gained five pounds instead of losing any weight. I got these meds to help kickstart weight loss because I was stuck, but it didn’t help at all. I feel like they give you such a low dose that you’re basically paying without seeing any results. Save your money – at least for the tablets. Maybe the injections work better.
