Thanks for the 5 star review, Ryofist! We've been providing free hosting since 2005, we started asking for donations in 2016, and then we got a really crazy idea. Would anyone be willing to pay $1 per month for a premium upgrade option? Everyone knew us for the free hosting so we weren't sure if anyone would be willing to upgrade to a paid plan. We did it anyway at the risk of losing a lot of money, and it worked out well. We now have the Morty plan that you're on, we've gotten a ton of great feedback about how much people love it, and we didn't even lose money on it. It was definitely worth the risk of setting it up. Let us know if you need help with anything.

Thanks for the 5 star review, Tedpan! We love to be a test environment. When people are testing things people are learning (most of the time) and we love it when people are learning. Since we're a non-profit we are obviously more concerned with making the world a better place, rather than just greedily trying to make as much money as possible like most for-profit companies. Education and learning definitely make the world a better place. Let us know if you need help with anything.

Thanks for the 5 star review, Jorge. The last few days have been insanely busy, and I've gotten very little sleep from spending all of my time trying to get everything working again. The other staff members have been working hard to help everyone as best as we can right now too. We all really appreciate you taking the time to leave this review to show that our hard work is being noticed. Let us know if you need help with anything.

Thanks for the 5 star review, J Short! We're really happy to hear that you think our hosting service is easy to use. Since we're a free hosting provider we attract a lot of people who are new to web hosting who aren't sure if they want to pay for hosting yet without trying it out for free for a while. It's really important for these new people to not get discouraged right away because things are too difficult. Let us know if you need help with anything.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, Deveshk. I'm sorry to hear about experiencing downtime on your current plan, and it slowing down your work. You may be interested to know that we have a Morty plan that has 100% uptime, and is much faster than your current plan. You're welcome to to try out the Morty plan for free if you're interested. If the Morty plan satisfies your uptime requirements you could update this review to a 5 star. Let us know if you're interested.

Thanks for the 5 star review, Abisheak! We've always focused on our free hosting, first and foremost. When a student or someone new to webhosting is just starting out, they most likely won't want to immediately spend money until they are more confident with what they're doing. That's why we offer the free service, so people can give it a try without any commitment, without needing a credit card, and it's not even just a trial. Take as much time experimenting as you want. No rush. When you're ready to upgrade we have VPS, Morty, and Tommy plans which offer better speed, and better uptime. If you're happy enough with the free plan for 19+ years, that's fine too. We won't force you to upgrade if you're not interested.
