I really enjoyed it more at first. Format was straightforward when you guys changed and added a bunch of stuff. I got a little lost in it. There are some benefits to the program and they have helped me some. Seems I’m at stand still now

The VIP Coaching Program has been a major catalyst for unlocking the musicianship of Gospel music for me. The founder of Hear & Play's vision has evolved to mega proportions! The VIP Director is in an unmatched class of professors who teach the concepts of music & theory (basics to the highest level of excellence) in all genres of music. The staff, VIP coaches, stage crews, have such dynamic, professional personalities. The setting is like a family community where you're appreciated & encouraged as a member regardless of the level you may have joined to advance in your craft or skill.

This company is pouring into the lives of people that aspire to play piano and enhancing the skills of those that play already by a master musician and teacher, Dr, Onye. I recently participated as a recitalist in our winter recital, and I was able to break down and explain principles, concepts and progressions that were used in the songs I played. All this was knowledge gained, since being a part of the VIP Program.

The entire program has been great. The pandemic slowed performances and has hampered my continued progress. I hope to resume soon.

I have enrolled in the VIP program for the past year and a half. When I started VIP Coaching, though I am very musically inclined, I had no understanding of how music works. I used to try and find chords of songs but always hit a wall because of my lack of knowledge. Now I can do that with more ease than before and when I hear a song, I can follow what it is they are doing. The knowledge imparted by Dr Onye is a great asset even outside class. I can confidently say that it was his explanations that got me through music theory classes in college, as he has this ability to teach with simplicity and great humor, which helps retention. As we speak, I have already enrolled for my 3rd year in the program... and I have not finished my 2nd year yet!!! That is how much I believe in this program!!!

I have been educated, convinced, and I have found a place where people are genuinely concerned with my progress. This is a place where you can be sure that people are not just praying for you but they are there for you to ensure your success in music. They don't falter. So you can depend on the GMTC family!
