I scheduled my first appointment and my provided never showed up. I was charged a fee of $175 in which I am fighting to get back! Will never use again and definitely will not recommend this to anyone.

You won't get a reliable appointment here. They constantly change providers and times at the last minute. Avoid scheduling here—it will only add stress and worsen your condition.

Tried to get my refund no answer nothing, the only new thing you will learn a new way of being scammed

I have been dealing with Headway since May and have yet to get a single client despite being initially promised referrals. (For reference, when I have worked with other comparable companies I have practically filled my caseload in the first week.) The person who onboarded me left abruptly and the next person was very helpful, but had to tell me to lower my expectations about referrals and many other things I had been promised. He was the only one in the four months I have been with the company who has been responsive and honest with me. Unfortunately, over a month ago I was moved on to another person who was supposed to help me promote my services and get my Psychology Today profile reviewed and up. I am still waiting despite numerous attempt to get a response. I have read reviews from therapists who are very happy with Headway, but also from those, like myself, who have not gotten any referrals, help or honest information about what to expect. To be clear--I am more than willing to do whatever I need to do to get clients, but since I have never experienced anything like this I do not know what to do. At this point, I feel like I have wasted 4 months... I would love to have Headway work for me since I really do not want to have to start this process over with another company, but since I can't get any help or information I may have no other choice.

There is no support from your onboarding team once you agree to work with Headway. If you run into issues or have questions they just ghost you. This has happened from multiple employees of theirs. The lack of support is enough to make you consider other companies. If the genuinely cared about their product they would make sure the people (therapists) who are making them the money are given support

The first therapist I was connected with nearly cursed me out when I asked that she get reliable internet instead of working with an extremely unreliable mobile hot spot from the front seat of her car. Then the company red-flagged me so I could not access any other services instead of holding their therapists to professional, ethical and legal standards. Sorry, Headway. Despite your response, there is no way to "contact" you. My old log-in doesn't work and guess what? You won't let me create a new log-in, and there is no other way to "contact" you!

I've tried to use Headway twice: once when my old therapist tried to switch from Grow to Headway and once when I tried to meet with a new therapist. Both times Headway said these providers were in-network but I had to pay for full sessions until I met my deductible - that's not true. My insurance covers 100% of mental health visits even before meeting the deductible. Which I verified with both my benefits package and insurance representatives. I did one appointment with my old therapist on Headway with hopes I could claw back my $150, but I wasn't successful so we went to back to Grow. This most recent time I wanted to see a specific therapist but she was only credentialed through Headway with my insurance so I tried again. I emailed customer support and this time they told me my insurance said I was only covered for mental health visits that were in-person. Again, I called my insurance and they had no clue what Headway was talking about. We tried to find the policy they were referencing and it was nowhere to be found - I've also never had that issue with other telehealth platforms. I tried asking if Headway could do a conference call with me and my insurance since we were getting different answers and I just got completely ignored. The only reason I tried so hard to resolve this issue is because I desperately wanted to see this specific therapist, but oh well 🤷‍♀️

This platform has zero accountability for delinquent providers. They have absolutely no vetting process and offer zero transparency in their processes. I have a feeling their business practices could stand an audit.
