Reimbursement rates are better than independent contracts. Concerned with Excellus. Worried that you’ll end up stopping service with them bc my understanding is they aren’t agreeing to pay these rates.

Headway made it possible for me to start my private practice. They took care of the credentialling, but more importantly, they take care of the billing. I have only had good experiences with Headway so far. I will give 5 stars once the EHR platform is a complete EHR.

Some minor issues with credentialing but otherwise great

In general the website runs smoothly with providing information and functioning. However, when situations are different then what is defined on the website it has been frustrating for clients and me for not being able to speak to a live person.

Overall satisfied. I really like how Headway takes care of its counselors, especially when there are claim issues. For example, with the 3rd party hack in February in which HW remained unpaid while waiting resolution, HW did the honorable and right thing and paid its counselors. A minor complaint is when I have an issue, it is very difficult to talk to a live person, especially if a ticket query does not give resolution. (Have not had an issue in a while, so there has not been a need.) Also, although the thought of using Violet for free CPD is tempting, I am wary of Violet's ability to be able to download on my computer beyond what is needed, that feels too invasive, and lends more opportunity to produce more emails that I have to read in which I'm possibly being solicited to purchase other services. It's all I can do to manage my caseload! :) Overall, it was a good move to go with Headway & I would recommend it for counselors tired of the insurance company run-around for claim payments. Headway is easy to use and there is a lot of support.

Headway makes life so much simpler. I would have given five stars; however, there have been a couple of times the insurance was verified and I started therapy and then got notified the insurance was actually not in-network which is hard to have to discontinue with clients.
