I had a terrible experience with Dr. Angela Capuano-Fant. I was in a panic because another provider canceled an appointment with my daughter last minute so I scheduled with her. TWO (literally) minutes passed and I sent her a message to see if she could prescribe medicine. She responded that she could not and asked if she should cancel the appointment- I agreed because she doesn't have the qualifications that were needed. I was then billed $75 for canceling the appointment. This all happened in a span of 1 hour. No paperwork submitted. No records reviewed. She refused to rescind the charge. I'm not sure about anyone else but this has caused me a lot of stress. I think we dodged a bullet here because in mind mind, a mental health professional should be more understanding but what do I know? I actually care about people and their well-being.

I’ve made three appointments with Hideaway and all three providers. All different did not show up. I called and made complaints with the agents and all they can do is recommend a new provider so to me it makes no sense to do business with them go elsewhere.

Headway doesn’t take Medicare yet they take other insurance. Imagine being deep in therapy for two years and you have a 65th birthday so your insurance changes to Medicare and your therapist still wants to be your therapist but because headway doesn’t know how to handle claims from Medicare you have to stop therapy mid session this is horrible for the client as well as the therapist because in 2026 headway can’t handle Medicare administratively . What is having a service like headway if you have to lose a client just because they turned 65 and go on Medicare in 2026 in America but you can’t process Medicare claims. Let’s not forget to mention all the errors and wrong billing you’ve done while I was on Aetna so even when I had regular insurance, your billing was inaccurate and you made a lot of mistakes that you had to correct. Oh and my name is right here on the screen and they still call me by the wrong name in their reply.

2024 class action lawsuit for this exact crime. Headway matched me with someone who called themselves a mental health professional. They refused to focus on my actual trauma – PTSD from medical neglect and an unsafe workplace. Instead, they demanded endless personal information completely unrelated to treatment. When I asked to focus on the specific issues causing me distress, they said: “I need to gather your data before I can help you.” That’s not therapy. That’s data mining. I tried to complain. Headway’s website has no complaint contact – only a suicide hotline number. You cannot report a bad provider. You cannot ask for your data to be deleted. You cannot opt out. I left with no treatment plan, no coping strategies, and worse PTSD than when I started. If Headway markets mental health care, they need to actually provide it – not extract your private information and hide from complaints. Date of experience: 01/2025

This company is a huge SCAM!!! Before 90% of my next appointments occur, they will email me saying my last appointment cost more than they quoted, and I have to pay that to be able to get my medical care. This occurred so much that my FSA card now freezes my card ANYTIME they see a payment come across. Waiting for another useless email to attempt to get my FSA card unfrozen. No phone support to talk with them, and the chat agents are horrible. Needless to say, I am filing a complaint with the No Surprises Act, FTC, BBB, and my attorney general

I have been stuck using Headway twice now and have hated it both times. They are absolutely HORRENDOUS to work with. We actually had to leave a therapist we really liked because Headway could never get our billing corrected and would never actually allow us to connect with a live customer service person. We're now unfortunately back with them again and before we even had our first session we already had unauthorized/fraudulent charges on our credit card. This is absolutely absurd. I wish mental health professionals would do more research before signing up with them.

I attempted to start therapy to help with stress issues causing problems. I made 2 separate appointments, Both were cancelled by the provider last min, and the second provider charged me $200.00 cancellation fee. when I attempted to resolve the issue with Headway they told me that there was nothing they could do. They suggested that I reach out to the provider.

The service online is inaccurate. It said my insurance wasn't active. (False- I checked with my UHC provider.) Also it did not email me or notify me of its decline of my insurance prior to my appointment either.
