The door is a fabulously constructed door. However, even though I specified that the our screen door was over a 1/2 inch (as per the ordering instructions), the kit to install it didn't work. I called the company and they offered to send me a different door (that was an older model that they don't offer for sale any longer) after I sent the original door back. They insisted that our door just wouldn't work for their installation kit. My husband is a mechanical engineer and he couldn't make heads or tails of the kit they sent us even after reading the on-line instructions. He engineered some brackets to install it. It works like a charm, but beware the installation of the "screen door" model.

I have had three orders with Hale and they always get it right and if there is ever a question they are on it and help you with the solution. I've even had Mr. Hale get on the phone to explain and answer a question.

I originally ended up at a site selling Hale products that was more expensive, shipping to Canada was outrageous and they had no idea if customs would apply or what it would be if it did. Hale was great, no hidden costs and end price at least 25% cheaper for the same product!

I got the door promptly and the directions were easy too follow. The hardest thing as cutting the tunnel to size. Once that was accomplished was a snap from there.

This is a great item and a perfect match for our house and dog!

Great dog door. I have two doors. Hale doors cost twice as much as the competition but they last more than twice as long. I just added a second door, this one in my Lanai screen room. My original Hale door is still going strong, I installed that one in 1997. I have three 100lb German Shrpherds and these doors really get used.

I have this extra large dog for installed for over 7 Yeats and 4 different dogs. It is sturdy and we'll built. The double flap design with magnets does a good job of keeping out the weather, both hot and cold. My only complaint is the cost of replacement flaps. And the "handling" fee. I plan to install this dog door in my next home.
