Unique approach in dealing with trauma
It was a great session to talk about trauma and stress.

Grow is a mental health platform built to enable progress — connecting people with thousands of qualified therapists vetted across specialties, identities, and lived experiences, covered by insurance. We didn't begin with a theory about the market. We began with someone trying to help someone they loved, with the realization that when someone you care about needs mental health support, the system can feel cold, confusing, expensive, and built to wear people down. So we built something better to help people find care they can afford, stay with, and actually feel supported by — care that doesn't just work, but makes progress possible. We are not only for crisis. We are for all the moments when someone decides they want more: more support, more clarity, more tools. Because our goal isn't just to help people feel better — it's to help people achieve their goals in life. That starts with finding the right therapist, which is why we make it easy to search by specialty, language, cultural background, and identity, with care covered by insurance, appointments available in as little as 2 days, and most clients paying around $21 per session. Many pay $0, and self-pay and sliding scale options are also available. We are committed to a mental health experience that's easier to begin, more affordable to maintain, and grounded in trust — rethinking not just how people access care, but how care feels, because life doesn't pause between sessions, and with Grow, support doesn't either. So far, 15 million sessions have started on Grow, each one a step forward for someone, somewhere, building the life they've always wanted. With 220M lives covered, appointments offered virtually or in-person, including evenings and weekends, and clear cost estimates with no subscriptions to worry about, it's no surprise that 80%+ of Grow clients report feeling better after starting therapy. Grow Therapy has been an incredibly helpful company since starting my own private practice. The onboarding process was very simple and easy to follow and the help following this process has also been wonderful! They have helped credential me with different insurance companies and their support with my questions has been prompt and their staff is knowledgeable. They connect me with referrals that help to build my business and make it as easy as possible to sync my calendars so they know when I am busy and block that time off from clients. They also support marketing my practice and connecting me with more clients! Overall I am incredibly happy with the support I have received from Grow and look forward to building my practice further with them!

I saw an add on tiktok for grow therapy. I’ve been interested in CBT therapy since talk therapy is not my thing. I got matched within minutes with my therapist. Within two sessions, I’ve already fell more in tune with my thoughts.

I haven’t received any clients yet because I’m personally not available until next month, but it was a quick process to get started. It took a couple weeks to get my first insurance company to approve me as a provider, which is pretty fast. Once an insurance company approves you, you can start building your profile and be available to see clients. You don’t get any PTO because it’s 1099. That and no health insurance are the not good parts. But you can get a somewhat okay deal on health insurance via a company they’re connected with, but it’s based on pay and what you think you’ll make each year. Other than the usual 1099 downsides, I’m very excited and it seems like it’ll be great. It was amazing to have help getting approved by insurance companies to be a provider

Beware*** This is a start up company, and they do not have it together, which effects the client. Back in April I had three sessions. They tried to charge my insurance $300 for each session. It took them 8 months to resolve, and then they just gave me a 24 hour notice that they were going to take the money out of my account. I have two more payments that I have no idea when are going to be taken out of my account, and they only give a 24 hour notice. I reached out to them, and they said "We appreciate you reaching out and apologize for any stress that our charges may have caused. We automatically charge your card on file after we hear back from your insurer on the portion for which you are responsible. Unfortunately, we are not able to put a charge hold on your account, take payments up front, or set up any other payment arrangements at this time due to engineering restraints and for this, we do sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. However, as a startup company, we are constantly evolving our systems to improve, and hope to be able to offer more flexible payment options in the future." I hope they morally change their policies, but I have never worked with a business that doesn't give some type of advanced due date for people to prepare.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention, and I’m sorry for any frustration you may have experienced while working towards a resolution. We understand the importance of billing transparency, and recognize that there are instances where claims may not be processed accurately due to the complexities that come with processing insurance claims. As we continue to enhance our services, our team is working to implement procedures to more quickly and accurately identify when claims are processed incorrectly. In addition to this, we’re also exploring ways to offer more flexible payment options in hopes of preventing financial stress from outstanding balances. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback, as you give us the opportunity to surface issues that have resulted in less than ideal experiences. Our team has followed up with you directly to provide more details into your concerns, and can always be reached at [email protected] if we can offer you any further support! Best, Grow Therapy Support Team
