Has been great experience very challenging and makes me thinking that's what I need

Grow is a mental health platform built to enable progress — connecting people with thousands of qualified therapists vetted across specialties, identities, and lived experiences, covered by insurance. We didn't begin with a theory about the market. We began with someone trying to help someone they loved, with the realization that when someone you care about needs mental health support, the system can feel cold, confusing, expensive, and built to wear people down. So we built something better to help people find care they can afford, stay with, and actually feel supported by — care that doesn't just work, but makes progress possible. We are not only for crisis. We are for all the moments when someone decides they want more: more support, more clarity, more tools. Because our goal isn't just to help people feel better — it's to help people achieve their goals in life. That starts with finding the right therapist, which is why we make it easy to search by specialty, language, cultural background, and identity, with care covered by insurance, appointments available in as little as 2 days, and most clients paying around $21 per session. Many pay $0, and self-pay and sliding scale options are also available. We are committed to a mental health experience that's easier to begin, more affordable to maintain, and grounded in trust — rethinking not just how people access care, but how care feels, because life doesn't pause between sessions, and with Grow, support doesn't either. So far, 15 million sessions have started on Grow, each one a step forward for someone, somewhere, building the life they've always wanted. With 220M lives covered, appointments offered virtually or in-person, including evenings and weekends, and clear cost estimates with no subscriptions to worry about, it's no surprise that 80%+ of Grow clients report feeling better after starting therapy. The therapist I found really is one of a kind. She was so helpful and I really had great hope. I looked forward to working with her through my mental health journey. It's too bad that Growtherapy billed me in 2 lump sums, rather than weekly, like I'd been going to the appts. It took a long time for them to figure out insurance (UHC) and then billed me all at once. More than I can afford in one payment. So now I'm without the best therapist I've ever known in my 29 years of having them. Very disappointing. Grow will get paid, but I can't play games like this. So I won't be continuing with them. I'll miss my therapist terribly

I love that they can bill my insurance unlike other places. I found a wonderful therapist that has helped me so much. I also love the face that i can schedule my appointments anyway necessary.

I strongly recommend AVOIDING GrowTherapy if you have an urgent need for counseling services. Customer service is near non-existent. I could not schedule an appointment successfully because GrowTherapy's client portal indicated my daughter's birthday was incorrect. However, my insurance company verified everything is actually correct. My insurance company would have loved to contact GrowTherapy to communicate with them to tell them the birthday is correct...but they were unable to communicate because there was not a working phone number. Because that avenue was blocked, I tried emailing their billing department to rectify the situation. It has been TWO WEEKS so far and there is absolutely zero response from them. At the same time, I have also attempted to use the "live chat" feature to explain the situation with someone. I was initially able to get a hold of someone who confirmed the insurance SHOULD be ok, but no actions could be done by the 'live chat' person to actually help. They only recommended waiting an unknown amount of time (weeks? months?) for the billing department to contact me. Without a customer service department to handle issues that most other companies can fix within minutes, I urge you to steer clear of GrowTherapy.
