My first (and only) therapist through Grow was the most unprofessional therapist I have ever dealt with. I walked away with more trauma than I walked in with. While I can't say ALL their therapists are horrible, I can say that the ONLY one I dealt with was. In short, the therapist turned out to be (in her own words, without my prompting) "A christian and a believer." There were MANY other issues, but this one kinda says it all.

As a current grow provider, I am very satisfied with the overall on boarding process and the ability to be able to provide excellent service to my clients. They make it very easy to navigate the platform and also answer any questions you may have as a provider this is truly a good Way to build your practice.

Grow Therapy has made it easily accessible to find therapist fit for me and my insurance. They also provide appointments at closer dates, and make my journey in healing easier.

I feel compelled to share my experience regarding a Grow Therapy therapist who maintains a YouTube presence. The stark contrast between her professional role and her online behavior is deeply troubling. This therapist, while presumably maintaining appropriate boundaries with her clients, uses her YouTube platform to engage in concerning behaviors: - Hosts 6-hour panels where I repeatedly become the topic of discussion - Platforms people who share private information about others without consent - Conducts armchair diagnoses of non-clients - Engages in public mockery and psychological assessments of critics - Deletes evidence of problematic live streams - When confronted about these behaviors, claims she is being harassed - Actively endorses and praises channels known for doxing, describing their harassment as "amusing" and "intelligent" Most disturbing is the question of accountability: what recourse exists when a licensed mental health professional not only enables cyber bullying but actively supports and encourages those who engage in it? She has created an environment where harassment is normalized and even celebrated, all while maintaining her professional credentials and platform. The irony is painful: a mental health professional using their platform to facilitate bullying and public shaming. When I attempted to address these concerns, I was met with accusations that I was the harasser. Because I'm not her client, I have no formal recourse to report this unethical behavior. These ongoing public discussions about me have significantly impacted my mental health. Most devastatingly, this experience has validated my deepest fears about therapy - that therapists can indeed cause profound harm. How can anyone trust the therapeutic process when they witness a licensed professional using their platform to perpetuate harassment? This has reinforced barriers that prevent people from seeking mental health treatment, as they witness firsthand how a therapist can misuse their position and psychological knowledge to harm others. I can only imagine her professional therapy sessions must be radically different from her YouTube persona, as this level of behavior would likely not be tolerated in a clinical setting. The disconnect between her professional obligations and her social media conduct raises serious questions about accountability in the digital age. As a 1099 employee with Grow. They provide a lot of benefits for someone who has their own mental health practice. They do all the billing, provide an EHR, provides a community of other providers for you to network with and provides CEU opportunities. Getting credentialed with insurance and getting referrals can take time but everything eventually levels out. Would definitely recommend if you are just starting a mental health practice. Pros Provides billing, decent pay rates for insurance, provider network community and CEU opportunities. Cons Credentialing can take months and referrals can come at a slow rate.

Genea is like one of my best friends. We share smiles, giggles upfront and delve into how I am feeling that day and the prior week. I feel very comfortable speaking with her and look forward to our meetings. Finding someone who shares her time and being objective on me and is welcoming and not judgemental gives me the opportunity to open up about how I feel as I share my thoughts. As I look back to the past I can see how my family coped with everyday life and how my parents were challenged by life experiences and their feelings of love. They were not my friends but my parents. No matter what the challenge they stepped up and found solutions. My mother was a great listener to me and my sisters. We three children were not enough for my Dad and he never gave us positive vibes but was troubled not knowing why we wouldn't share our troubles with him but only with my Mom. My sessions with Genea has given me the chance to share how my parent's life influenced my life and what has been troubling me for all my life.
