On boarding was realatively simple and my first vido session went through with no technical issues. Bakcground images should be up loadable as there are only a few avaiable on the software interface.

Grow is a mental health platform built to enable progress — connecting people with thousands of qualified therapists vetted across specialties, identities, and lived experiences, covered by insurance. We didn't begin with a theory about the market. We began with someone trying to help someone they loved, with the realization that when someone you care about needs mental health support, the system can feel cold, confusing, expensive, and built to wear people down. So we built something better to help people find care they can afford, stay with, and actually feel supported by — care that doesn't just work, but makes progress possible. We are not only for crisis. We are for all the moments when someone decides they want more: more support, more clarity, more tools. Because our goal isn't just to help people feel better — it's to help people achieve their goals in life. That starts with finding the right therapist, which is why we make it easy to search by specialty, language, cultural background, and identity, with care covered by insurance, appointments available in as little as 2 days, and most clients paying around $21 per session. Many pay $0, and self-pay and sliding scale options are also available. We are committed to a mental health experience that's easier to begin, more affordable to maintain, and grounded in trust — rethinking not just how people access care, but how care feels, because life doesn't pause between sessions, and with Grow, support doesn't either. So far, 15 million sessions have started on Grow, each one a step forward for someone, somewhere, building the life they've always wanted. With 220M lives covered, appointments offered virtually or in-person, including evenings and weekends, and clear cost estimates with no subscriptions to worry about, it's no surprise that 80%+ of Grow clients report feeling better after starting therapy. The convivence this platform has created for me helped with the first step in having a session with a therapist. First ever therapy session was booked one day and next day I was able to virtually connect with a professional.

My therapist give it to me raw and make me dig deeper and realizing who I am as a person. There's no sugarcoating with her I'm grateful that I finally choose me and start therapy

I did not appreciate being pressured to have AI record and use my session. I got a pop-up SEVEN TIMES requesting to use AI, I declined it repeatedly. Then the provider asked me to click yes, and I said I was not comfortable with that. She then asked me why, and I explained the security risks of using AI, esp regarding my health. She stared at me blankly and then gave me attitude about how it helps her. I'm paying over $200 for your services, not an AI. I have no access to said AI, or its data. I explained to her the risks of this, and she still gave me attitude. She then asked why I was there, I told her. She then asked me a bunch of questions. Then told me I needed to make a decision about something that I told her I was working on. She never talked about why I was there, did not even address it. When I brought it up again, I got another attitude that if THAT is what I wanted to focus on, we can discuss it in the next appointment. It was also scheduled for an hour, and she said it was only 30 mins (so it lasted 30 mins). So I paid over $200 to get attitude and was pressured into using AI. Waste of time and money - I'm going to another platform. UPDATE: Since I posted this review, I got an email from the provider saying that she was not accepting new clients and referred me to other providers. So now, I wasted over $200 on a provider who claims she was not accepting new clients. Please note that her profile says she is, and her calendar has countless appointments. We obviously were not a good fit, but instead of just addressing this like a professional, she used the 'not accepting new clients.' If that was true, then why did you accept the appointment in the first place? Was this a money grab?

I am very happy with the product as a whole, but be warned, if you sign up using your Apple ID it might cause you some pretty severe headaches as it has caused me. The billing & tech support was outstanding and they resolved my issues very quickly, but it still caused me to miss 2 appointments and go without my meds for over a week now because of it. Whether you sign up with Grow Therapy directly or through ZocDoc like I did, be sure to *sign up with your email address,* NOT your Apple ID/account. For whatever reason, I was not receiving ANY emails, so I didn't receive the intake emails, the meeting link emails, billing emails, etc. and my appointments were just being cancelled because of it. I spent loads of time troubleshooting, but there was absolutely no reason I shouldn't have been receiving the emails. It's all resolved now and I do recommend the service, just don't make the same mistake I made.
