My Grand Design is a Grand Disaster. Not only mine but my daughter and her husband bought a Grand Design and it came brand new with rusted components. It was apparently assembled using salvaged parts. When she told them about the rust on the frame they claimed that they weren’t responsible because Lippert made the frame. But, according to established law, they are responsible for the products they regardless of who made the components. I had a slide out problem on my new Grand Design. They took 6 months to repair it. I had a 12 month warranty and they burned half of it sitting at the dealership getting a slide out problem fixed. I found an article on the web that asserted that slow warranty repairs are BY DESIGN. They want to get past responsibility for the junk they build as quickly as possible.

Grand Design won't stand behind their products, and are building cheap garbage now. After spending over $125,000 on a brand new 5th wheel, we have had a multitude of issues. Not the least was a leak in the fresh water tank. After much fighting with their authorized repair shop, they finally agreed to pay for the tank replacement, but they are shorting them about 5 hours labor. This means I have to spend over $1,000 to fix a warranty issue, This rig is less than a year old, and every single issue we've had has been a major headache.

This is the absolute WORST company I have ever dealt with. Two years ago we paid $60,000 for an RV. There was a warranty recall and we have waited a year and a half and it still isn’t fixed. Their customer service is so bad. My husband and I have lost so Much time because you can’t ever get through to an actual person. They told us we had to deliver the RV to them (it’s a four hour drive) and then pick it up when it’s done with NO reimbursement. Keep In mind this is THEIR fault!!!!! We have only been able to drive it five times

2019 brand new off the floor 2600RB Grand Design Imagine travel trailer. Bought this in 2019 for $41,000 Canadian including tax. Just saw a new one exactly the same and they are now selling for over $60,000!! In only 7 years they’ve gone up $20,000. And we bought pre pandemic when the quality was apparently better. We’ve had pretty decent customer service. But the product is definately lacking. Positives.. excellent layouts. Large awnings. Good storage. Nice design and interior. Double shelf cupboards (which you never see in other models ) Negatives.. poor paint on the cupboards failed and scraped off immediately. Grand design tried to rectify the issue and restained. Still failed shortly after. Cupboard and drawers hinges and slides failing and breaking. Awning leaking. Glass inserts in cupboards falling out. Fridge freezing most food by year 3. All blinds failed and broke so they just “hang out” now. Peeling trim. These issues aren’t structural and the structure has at least been good. The trailer looks beat up on the inside after year 3 and we barely use it. Maybe 4 time a year. Two adults no kids. This trailer would NEVER survive a family! We had a Bantam Trail Lite for almost 15 years with our young kids. Held up WAY better! And it was a way better price point. So that said if I were to buy a new trailer it likely wouldn’t be a Grand Design.

Our refrigerator keeps breaking down and spoiling foods and medicine even after being repaired and working briefly. This is the latest event on our first day heading across country. We pulled into the RV Park, set up, went to cook dinner, and found the refrigerator and freezer temps to be seventy degrees and everything spoiled. Updated July 1, 2026. Update follows After contacting Lippert and Grand Design, Lippert is sending a new refrigerator on good faith and we are responsible for paying the installation costs and there will be no further warranty work. They were exceptionally nice to work with, hopefully, our new refrigerator gives us no problems.

I purchased a 2024 Solitude brand new in Jan of 2024. The whole thing is falling apart. It's cheaply made. There have been 2 recalls in 2 1/2 years with the axles. The refrigerator doesn't work and it's now out of warranty. The interior craftsmanship is buckling. The closet door comes off the track every time we go anywhere even though it's clip. Two cabinets are missing magnets and fly open when driving, which we had to fix ourself. The exterior lights had an issue last year which Grand Design replaced but they're so cheap, the plastic around them melted on to the glass. After 2 1/2 years, I'm just furious at the amount of repairs we need to have done with nothing under warranty. I love the design, but will never by from this company again.

Just purchased a 2026 Grand Design Lineage F series and it is plagued with problems. I called and spoke to someone at their company who clearly could care less. The dealership that I purchased it from is just as bad. I really wish I could get my money back and get out of this mess. I spent over $260k for something that I've had for over a month and still CANT use!

I would like to share my experience working with their Retail Parts Specialist. This is the second RV have owned and the first one was Forest River. I had so many issues getting email or voice mail support from them on multiple occasions. In contrast Grand Design Owners Portal is easy to use and I had a return call back within 24 hours. my parts specialist was awesome. I loved how she was able to quickly pull up my RV in her system and was able to order the parts I needed. Parts arrived fed X within 2 days. I received multiple follow up email communication from her and it was all well written and supportive. Her support was very much appreciated and she is clearly a Professional Representative. In addition I have found the Owners Portal and parts lists to be very easy to use. I have owned my reflection for 2 years and have found the workmanship to be superior to my last RV from another National Vendor. While I hope to have my Reflection a long time there is no doubt that my next RV will be from Grand Design.
