Grand ApplianceReviews of grandappliance.com

Watch out for Grand Appliance in Racine. Bait and switch on their online sales. Pedestals were available for discounted price, but they were attached to a washer and dryer and you had to buy those too. Deceptive advertisement. Buyer beware!

Watch out for the extra $140 installation charges once they have the kitchen is torn apart.

I bought a GE dryer from Grand in April of 2024. Less than 2 years after purchase, it stopped heating up. I called Grand and they told me, too bad, it is out of warranty. I asked if they would give me something toward the purchase of a new dryer, and they told me, "too bad", you should have bought extended warranty. Safe to say, I will never shop there again.

I purchased a range, dishwasher and disposal. First I got the runaround on getting the range for over a week. That was resolved finally. Then the dishwasher and disposal were supposed to be delivered and installed. The delivery person showed up and told me he could install the dishwasher but not the disposal because he didn't know how. They don't seem to have any idea when the job can be completed . I have called multiple times and even went back to the store. The sales person told me he couldn't snap his fingers and magically get it done. It's been over 2 weeks and all I have received is dishonesty. They also won't accept responsibility for taking a chunk out of my kitchen door while replacing my dishwasher. I' going to cancel this transaction and get a refund. It's also my opinion they feel it's ok to disrespect women because of the smart a$$ remarks made to me. It's been 2 weeks now. I'm beyond done with this place and their BS. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.

We purchased the Miele ventless dryer and washer a few years ago from Grand Appliances in Crystal Lake, IL. Right from the beginning the dryer would stop and beep relentlessly. No matter how much we cleaned the lint trap and the filter it wouldn’t stop beeping and dry. When trying to clean the filter my daughter somehow damaged the coils when she was inserting it. Now that is not what I would call a sturdy machine. Called Grand to help us they made us call a serviceman at our cost of course ($160). Serviceman said it would cost $2400 to fix. I paid $1700 for it so obviously I wasn’t going that route. He did say the moisture sensor was defunct, not surprising. Grand won’t help me and now I’m out $1900 and dryerless. I will never buy another thing from Grand Appliances.

The "add ons" after spending thousands on a washer/dryer set were misleading. To simply replace a perfectly good vent hose, they promoted some essential vent kit for an extra $60. Useless and the pitch was misleading. Beware.

Correction 6 hours into repair; still not done I will never fix this again just replace with another brand after only 7 years JUNK.

Everything was great until about a year after. Bought about 4k of appliances, GE, my sales rep Scott said anytime you have a problem call me I will get it taken care of. I bought extended warranty on all appliances which is another nightmare. Anyway Scott blew me off and said I would have to call the 800# for service repair. Called them which also was a nightmare, they told me first I had to defrost my freezer portion of the frig for 24 hours if that resolves the problem great, well it didn’t, now I have to go through calling this bullshit extended warranty service again. I would not buy a toothpick from grand ever again and never buy an extended warranty waste of money. This was my experience and my opinion. Goodluck hope you have better customer service than I had.
