GradCity is the best! Getting to work with them as staff has one of the best experiences of my life. The team is amazing, everyone is super nice and focused on making the program be the best it can be for the group. I loved working with the kids and parents we traveled with and helping them enjoy their trip as much as possible. GradCity wins at spring break! 😁

Tried signing my 18 daughter up for…
Tried signing my 18 daughter up for high school trip to cancun. Prior to signing up, I talked to an agent on the phone, and reviewed all of the sign-up paywork. AFTER I paid the "non-refundable" deposit I was informed she could not go because she was not 23.
Money should have been refunded if not eligible to go. Tried calling customer service first ....no response.
BOTTOM LINE: Just book directly. Save a lot of money. Not adding any value to the process. This reservation was hotel reservations only which was fully refundable if I had booked directly with hotel.

Horrible company
Horrible company. Gather your school friends and book your own trip. The pricing is a huge rip off, you have a very very limited refund policy, they more you put in the more you lose. We booked rooms and flights to Mexico and a few months later the group leads suggested they add a Florida location due to Covid. So people switched to Florida and I’m left with a mexico trip with just a few kids going. Not what we signed up for. If I switch to Florida I’ll be stuck with 1400. In flight vouchers because I booked my flights myself to try and save money. This additional location has also split the group of people going between 2 locations so now the kids are divided up. Not what we signed up for! They can change your trip, add additional locations after you’ve booked flights based on the group leader suggesting changes. If you receive a check for any portion of your refund the check has a notification on the back that once you sign it you can’t chargeback for any amounts you dispute. The sales person told me on the phone that the first day I’d see kids throwing up, partying too hard on the first day until they realize they can’t handle the sun and alcohol. I should have run but gradcity creates peer pressure that everyone is booking through them and you don’t want your kid left out. Don’t give in... book your own trips and save money.
Update: your reply says you can’t speak for “their policy” but then you go on to answer for them?! Zero sense like everything else. Our group or anyone enrolled was never asked if we wanted a second location, 1 person the organizer asked for it and didn’t ask the group. And your sign up was low and you added a second location to help your sales. This second location has approximately 11 people going to Florida and the rest going to the original spot. The group is now split into 2 locations which ruins the purpose of the trip, getting the kids ALL together. Yes, It is written in your contract locations can be changed and obviously it’s to help your sales vs asking those already enrolled what they would like to do as for adding another location. No one asked the group their preferences. I asked for that communication and it couldn’t be provided, the person who is your school parent contact can speak for the entire group and screw everyone else. I love the partial refund check I received actually has a stamped message on the signing line saying if I sign and cash the check I can’t file a chargeback. You obviously experience this a lot- wonder why

Dear Nichole,
Yours and your husband's package/trip was booked through a different tour company/travel provider thus we cannot speak to their policies.
GradCity offered a second option at the request and feedback from the group. This was not a decision made or put forward by GradCity, but a response to a request. GradCity spent several months researching and reviewing multiple domestic destinations and resorts. Several factors go into building a new program/offering a new destination such as allowing student groups during Spring Break, rates, activities on the property and in the area, closest airport, inclusions, etc.. After much research and review, GradCity was able to offer a domestic destination to the group.
Members who still want to travel to Cabo, or new members who want to join, can. Members who want to switch to Florida, or register for the domestic destination, can as well.
Sincerely,
GradCity

The single worst company I have ever…
The single worst company I have ever dealt with, avoid them at all costs. Not reliable, not truthful and they don't even answer their phone! Like many other parents I am stuck in battle for a refund and GradCity is an absolute nightmare to deal with.

Fraud City!
My daughters senior trip was cancelled due to Covid & NOONE from here grade, including us, has received a refund from them yet! Not even an email/call/text that they’re working on it or any updates whatsoever. Im starting to believe these reviews that this company is a fraud. If we don’t get our money back soon I’m calling my attorney.
Response from GradCity Travel LLCOct 28, 2020

Grad City = Rip Off City
Shady company who operate under several different names, changing it each time people start posting truths and negative reviews about them.
My daughter was supposed to go to The Bahamas for Spring Break on 4/10/20. They provided no flight info up until 10 days before the departure date, when they finally postponed the trip due to the Covid-19 crisis. (We had asked to cancel due to the Corona virus situation but customer service said "pandemics were not covered - no refunds.")
Instead they changed the travel dates to late June and told customers to pay a $479 cancelation fee if they couldn't make it. Many other customers have had similar experiences. Just google Grad City. Check the Better Business Bureau website. We are taking our grievances to the local media here in NY/NYC as well as legal options and an online awareness campaign. Please do your homework before booking any trip with Grad City or their other names - Student City, SpringBreakDiscounts.com and Spring Break Travel.

Dear Richard,
With the fluidity of this situation, we are doing our best to provide the GradCity and assist customers. The closure of destination borders and the US Global Level 4 – Do Not Travel healthy advisory restricted any non-essential travel; making it impossible for GradCity to provide the scheduled trip/program. These events are beyond GradCity’s reasonable control, and could not have been foreseen and are unavoidable.
After discussion with our vendors, Group Organizers, Sales Reps and Operations department, GradCity notified groups that we will be postponing our April program until the end of June/early July. Our notification stated that if you are unable to make these new dates and/or no longer wish to travel to contact our Customer Care department.
GradCity notified this group on March 24, 18 days before your scheduled departure date, and gave anyone looking to cancel until April 30 to send us their final confirmation. We notified groups as soon as possible given the evolving pandemic.
Many of our vendors are offering free changes (postponing the trip) but not free cancellations. Individual travelers were able to deviate from the group and cancel their account for a refund minus a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee is a combination of non-refundable/non-recoupable deposits for airfare, accommodations, transportation, events, etc. along with travel insurance and processing fees.
The basic travel insurance that is included with the GradCity package covers an array of travel related items such as trip cancellation (exclusions apply), trip delay, lost luggage, medical while on the trip, etc., it does not cover pandemics. From our experience with COVID-19, no travel insurance covers pandemics. The basic insurance does cover trip cancellation due to a family/medical emergency such as sickness, death in the family, loss of job, etc..
I truly hope you understand the reasoning behind the options provided by GradCity. If you have any further questions, we advise you to contact our office so we can directly assist you.
Sincerely,
GradCity
