STAY FAR AWAY!!!
I cannot tell you to stay FAR away from this company enough. After struggling for years to grow my hair out, I was super excited to try GooGoo tape-in extensions (I got 5 packs of darkest brown, 24”). I had them installed, my hairdresser who I’ve seen for years followed the instructions RELIGIOUSLY (she’s also applied thousands of extensions before), and I left initially thrilled with how the hair felt and turned out. Over the next couple weeks, my scalp had a warming/burning/itching sensation that didn’t seem to get better upon washing. The hair began becoming straw-like and matted/tangled (regardless of the fact that I followed all GooGoo’s recommended hair care instructions; including using deep-conditioner masks, leave-ins, heat protectant, oils, and minimizing washing it). Less than a month into having them in, my scalp became so sensitive and so incredibly uncomfortable I had to book an emergency appointment for them to be removed. I’ve never had prior issues with any of my hair products, I didn’t start any new ones, and I have no issues with adhesives/glues/bandaids/tapes. But anywhere the tape-ins were, there was evidential skin trauma that an allergic reaction to the glue in them had occurred. I know not everyone will have this problem, but I’m leaving the bad review due to the absolutely rude, unprofessional, and apathetic customer service replies I’ve been getting. I went to the website’s chatbot icon and wrote out the problems listed above, and I requested a refund (seeming I’m a college student with already limited money, who dropped $400.00 on a product they claimed to be so great and high quality, and couldn’t even have them in a full month while following THEIR care instructions!). I included images of the extension boxes, photos immediately after I’d had them installed, AND my purchase receipt to show I was a real customer. I was met MULTIPLE times with rude, “due to the fact that the extensions don’t look damaged in the photos, I cannot do a refund.” She then said I’d need to include photos of the extensions installed and in poor condition, as well as the redness on my scalp. GooGoo, when someone books an EMERGENCY appointment to have your crappy product removed, the LAST THING they would think to do is take pictures. They’re just focused on getting it off their skin!!! I was also told by them how “safe” the glue is, and how no one else was having allergy responses or issues with the hair quality (even though if you look through any of these reviews, you will see handfuls of people having similar experiences). I also find it incredibly sketchy that they have no corporate/company phone number. The overall lack of professionalism between these team members is mind blowing… i’d be extremely skeptical. I am so absolutely infuriated by the lack of empathy or understanding from this company, I will NEVER purchase from GooGoo hair again, and will NEVER recommend them!!!! Googoo- still waiting for that refund….

Hi, thanks for your kind review. Our hair extensions are all human hair and we suggest you refer to the user manual to use and care the hair extensions. Sorry for the inconvenience. Our hair is high-temperature sterilized before leaving the factory. You can try washing your hair extensions before putting them on again to see if the problem still occurs. We do have very few customers reporting allergy issues, so we hope you can provide relevant photos so that we can contact the product team to resolve the issue. And if you feel uncomfortable, you can stop using it and return it for a refund. Our hair extensions will be treated with deep care and one-time straightening before leaving the factory, but we do not use chemical potions to make them straightened permanently because that would damage the hair. So after the hair extensions have been washed once, they may not be as straight as when they were first received. They will show the natural texture of the hair. If you want silk straight texture, since our hair is real human hair, we recommend you use a straightening board to straighten the hair extensions, but please control the heating time and temperature of the straightening board. Finally, please provide your order information so we can look into the issue asap. Hope you understand it.
