Thank you for your site! I would have never found the breeder- and puppy- I found without you. Providing a platform for responsible breeders to showcase their efforts to keep breeding healthy and sound dogs is critical in today's avalanche of poorly bred and unhealthy puppies. And, for potential puppy owners, the ability to find breeders who care enough to rigorously test their breeding parents and be able to find pups that have the best chance of living happy and healthy lives. Thank you again.

I've listed two litters with Good Dog. Several wonderful families have found their puppy. Good Dog takes the risk out of buying and selling puppies from people that are unable to come to our home to visit the puppies. With all the puppy scams online Good Dog is a very valuable service. Even people that find me through my Facebook page or AKC Marketplace fill out an application through Good Dog so I have a record of applicants. I love the breeder education available and hope that puppy buyers take advantage of their education options as well.

I appreciate that this site looks out for both responsible breeders and prospective dog owners to help them connect. Good dog has followed up with me several times- it’s just hard finding a smooth fox terrier puppy, however I have heard back from several of the Good dog breeders and am hopeful the connection in NC will prove fruitful this summer. Thanks for what you do.

Update 2: Good Dog cannot be trusted. After my initial review the contacted me. What they told me was just to appease me to leave a better review! I never received any puppy care package! As much as we love our puppy we will never use Good Dog or their breeders again! Worst experience of my life! DO NOT USE OR TRUST THEM, completely shady!! We used Muddy Paws Cavaliers through Good Dog. The breeder is Julie Gleason in Waterloo, Iowa. Everything seemed fine until it came time to have the puppy delivered. Her husband, Jim, was supposed to delivery the puppy to our house and we paid an extra fee for this. Two days before the puppy was to be delivered he called me and stated he hadn’t prepared for the trip by getting his A/C fixed and he couldn’t proceed. He was going to take our puppy back to Iowa and we could “get a puppy from a future litter.” We said that was unacceptable, we have planned for this puppy and already booked time off of work. We agreed to meet him halfway to get our puppy. This was at 6:00 pm after we had both worked all day. As the evening wore on it became clear this man likely has dementia and he kept forgetting/changing the plan. He also informed us he had a gun, for no apparent reason! We drove all night, more than 12 hours, and finally tracked down this man and our puppy. It then took us another 24 hours to get home due to exhaustion, traveling with a puppy, and we hit a coyote causing severe vehicle damage. As a result of the unplanned trip we incurred the additional costs of gas, food, hotel room, rental car fees for two weeks, and the deductible to fix our car. We were refunded for the delivery fee we had paid but were offered no other partial refund to cover our substantial costs and stress. We filed a complaint with Good Dog and nothing was done. They stated they will “monitor” the breeder. We also did not receive the registration or microchip that was supposed to be included in the purchase price. These have also not been provided or refunded. The breeder will not respond to us anymore and Good Dog continues to do nothing. I highly urge anyone looking for a reputable breeder not use this breeder or website. I encourage using the AKC marketplace to find breeders. Update: after posting this review Good Dog reached out to me. I worked mostly with Melissa who was great! She clarified what Good Dog was doing on their end to investigate the situation. Good Dog is also refunded some fees we had paid to them and the amount for the microchip we didn’t get. Since the breeder refused! They are also sending a puppy care package to try to offset the bad experience we have had with our breeder. Good Dog customer service was very nice and helpful. I would still use caution when picking a breeder. Good Dog really did try to make things right for us! However, I stand by everything I said about the breeder. Muddy Paws Cavaliers/Julie Gleason in Waterloo, Iowa is unethical and should be avoided at all costs!!!!

I love the support Good Dog gives breeders. I appreciate their webinars with guest lecturers that have a lot of knowledge about breeding. I also appreciate being able to have buyers purchase their puppy through Good Dog.

Good Dog is a highly reputable company that truly cares about the well-being of the puppies and breeding dogs that are represented on their site. They work to inform and educate buyers (as well as breeders) as to what good breeding practices look like. I recommend Good Dog to anyone who is looking for a happy, HEALTHY puppy.
