Pros: I was able to find a great puppy, Cons; but the processing charged for paying the through good Dog is ridiculous!!!! So disappointed I was charged a 75.00$ processing fee. Even though I chose via ACH/bank transfer to avoid processing fees!!!! I don’t need access to anything special. You still have to pay for the special access to training! Please remove the 75.00 fee!!

We almost got scammed trying to find a puppy online privately. So we found that Good Dog was the way to go, connecting us reputable and inspected breeders. Communication was fast and we were delighted that payments went through them so we knew we weren't being taken advantage of. And our puppy was healthy and beautiful! We recommend Good Dog wholeheartedly.

GOOD DOG FAILS TO VET FRAUDS
I contacted a breeder and entered into an agreement to purchase a puppy after finding her on the Good Dog website. Halfway through the transaction the breeder informed me she was not on the site anymore and I made the 2nd payment directly to her. When it came time to pick up the puppy, after months of being sent photos and hand picking a name and taking off work for the day, the so called breeder changed the pick up location to a 12 hour round trip drive vs. 6 hours and then told me because I asked if we could stick to the original plan that I no longer deserved the puppy.
After searching the internet and knowing her address in Mio Michigan I found several alias names of kennels and complaints going back years.
Seems she has a history of keeping the "non-refundable" deposits and pulling out at the end.
I contacted Good Dog continually and they declined to help saying the deposit was in fact, non-refundable.
It was very disappointing to say the least. Heart-breaking for the entire family but made worse becasue I trusted the Good Dog site to have vetted this breeder.
They did not. And they refused to refund me the deposit which was made through them and they had access to - instead supporting the scam breeder.
I sent information showing previous complaints as well and made numerous calls. Nothing.
DO NOT TRUST GOOD DOG.
They have a great web site but don't actually do what they say and certainly DO NOT stand behind their clients when something goes wrong.

Hi Jeannie,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We understand that you had a difficult experience completing your scheduled puppy pickups, but we're glad our team was able to work with you through this situation.
As they clarified with you, in accordance with the breeder's contract, the payments you completed were non-refundable, although we’re happy to hear that the breeder did agree to partially refund you given your situation.
At Good Dog, each breeder sets their own individual policies with buyers, especially around whether a payment is refundable or non-refundable. We encourage puppy buyers to choose a breeder whose policies align with what they feel most comfortable with, because we do honor the policies that a breeder and buyer agree to.
We hope this helps answer your questions related to the non-refundable deposit you completed. Please feel free to reach out to us if there is anything we can do to help, or if you have any questions or concerns.
Warmly,
The Good Dog Team

Crystal Valley Chihuahuas are amazing and lovely ♥
Laruen gave me lots of info about my puppy and kept me updated, answered all my questions, and the puppy himself was an angel. Unfortunately, it didn't work out for me as I have complications with my health that I didn't realize would be so severe with a dog in the house despite my research, so we had to give the puppy back. She fully understood everything and we got the puppy back safe and sound and found a new home and is refunding me what she can.
Everything about Lauren is not only good, but exceptional! I can tell she puts her heart into her work raising and caring for dogs. I really wish things had worked out with our puppy because I really did love him, but I know at least he's safe and going to another good home. :) We'll try again in a few years when my health will hopefully be better and I'll have more support.

Doodle Dog Crush owner Brian McNitt is a scammer. Agreed to a price on a dog and meet with us with the dog and then totally ghosted us and left my mom devastated. He deleted all our messages so that I could no longer contact him. He was upset because I would not let him go to my mothers home to see where the dog would be living which my mom did not feel comfortable with. Paying a good price for a dog should be enough to know we will take great care of the dog. Highly disappointed.

Non-professional…
I'm sorry that I didn't have that money to pay a little more I went with the breeder that had the least expensive cattle dog I just lost mine after 15 years was my second generation and I was loving it so I looked into it and I saw that there was this good dog program and it looked like they were really responsible about what what preachers they were allowing your company well it turns out that she was just I'm very unprofessional they drove straight through on and ride on I believe it was the 17th or something like that of our 18th of them November and they came from Missouri and drove straight here at 9:00am she does she doesn't have any paperwork for me she hands me the dog over the fence doesn't talk to me explain to me or want to come in regarding you know what the dog eats she didn't give me any sample of the food they almost decided to give me a leash of the young man you know said I don't know she gave me a little while with proven that she got a shot I don't know if the dogs are registered AKA or lake Casey or whatever it is you know it approves to be in Australian cattle dog by the animal small animal help certificate of the state of Missouri but I definitely would not recommend purchasing a dog from her she's very unprofessional she drove to my house but I paid for transportation and I paid everything in full before she came so again my my feelings to her professionalism I think she's way too young as a breeder or responsible breather and unprofessional again so I'm sorry that's just how it is and that's what happened and but I'm glad I have the dog and I love the dog thank you

Good Dog is an absolute joke of a…
Good Dog is an absolute joke of a company. When I first joined Good Dog as a breeder, I had a great experience the platform was easy to use, and overall a good experience. But I later then dealt with a breeder who has been arrested for animal cruelty charges, and who is awaiting the court trail for the case. This breeder has gone on a tirade to completely destroy the name and reputation of my business, I had provided Good Dog with all the proof of what this breeder was doing, once they sent in a complaint saying I stole dogs, which I did not. Even after the proof they told me it was not good enough and removed my account entirely. The fact that this company stands behind a breeder who they will NOT let sell puppies on their platform, but believe disproven lies is disgusting. There are two sides to every story, and there is plenty of proof on the internet of this breeder and what they have done, and yet Good Dog wanted nothing to do with the facts that had been given. This company is a complete joke and I’m extremely disgusted and disappointed with them.
Seeing as how Im unable to respond to your reply, I would like to see the specific community standards and policies I violated. I read over the standards, guidelines, & the code of ethics, no where in there did I see anything stating documentation was needed. so please point me in the right direction. You were provided all of the evidence and documentation that was needed, including documents from law enforcement. You as a company refused to look into any of it. Here is how you as a company violated your own standards and ethics: (remove space in the after www. And before . Com of each link to review)
1. “ While there is no “one size fits all” for what makes a breeding program responsible, we are able to use our community standards to evaluate programs consistently…screening process and meet or exceed our community standards before joining Good Dog. Here’s how we do it.” (https://www. gooddog. com/standards-and-screening)
- You did the screening process, as well as several messages along with an interview when I joined last summer. There was no issue with any of my program. You required NO documentation of any kind. You asked for pictures of the dogs and I provided that for.
2. “Accordingly, we continue to develop new policies and we note that our community standards, including our policies…are subject to continual revisions as new research becomes available.” (https://www. gooddog. com/standards-and-screening)
- This part of your community standard is stating that you can and will develop new policies per the dogs physical health. I would like to see where your new standards stated that I needed to provide the impossible paperwork you are saying I must provide.
3. “ When puppies are not owned by you or they are whelped and raised outside of your home, we have little visibility…Good Dog does not permit such puppies to be listed for sale…a core component of Good Dog’s Community Standards.” ( https://www. gooddog. com/good-breeder-center/what-is-good-dogs-policy-on-posting-litters-to-your-profile )
- Puppies were indeed raised in my home and proven to be owned by me. If they weren’t I wouldn’t have been able to post them. I would like the proof emailed to me that were not owned by me.
4. “ What does this policy mean for me?
In general, this policy will affect the listing of puppies that are not owned by you or are whelped and raised out of your home. This includes:…puppies from a dog you co-own that did not whelp in your care puppies purchased by you and you do not own the b*tch” (https://www. gooddog. com/good-breeder-center/what-is-good-dogs-policy-on-posting-litters-to-your-profile)
- No puppies posted on my good dog profile were imported from anywhere. ALL puppies were rais…She is my dog, and that proof was provided as well. Please provide the proof in an email to me that I purchased any of those puppies, imported them, they did not reside in my home, or I purchased said puppies from a b*tch I did not own.

Hi Chelsy,
Thank you for reaching out. We’re glad that a member of our Compliance team was able to connect with you and share more information about our Community Standards, Good Breeder Code of Ethics, and Policies, and how they may apply to an individual breeding program. You can read more here:
-https://www.gooddog.com/breeder-code-of-ethics
-https://www.gooddog.com/good-breeder-center/good-dog-article-toc#good-dog-policies
We take enforcement of our standards incredibly seriously and have a process in place where we conduct an independent investigation of concerns we receive in order to ensure that our standards are enforced consistently and fairly.
We understand that our Compliance team was also able to share with you the necessary documentation we’d need in order to re-evaluate your program. Should things change, please reach out to us and we’d be happy to re-evaluate at that time.
We understand that not everyone will agree with our approach, but we know that you, as a dog breeder, are working very hard and that you have a breeding program to be proud of. We continue to wish you all the best.
Kind Regards,
Good Dog Compliance Team
