Donna Claus of Scottyland Yard in Brule, NE made my decision to get a puppy so easy. She sent photos and answered my questions. Scottie, my new puppy is curious, delightful and so fun!! I am retired and wondered if I wanted to lessen my freedom, but I found some great tools to help us both. A wire crate and a wire fence helps Scottie to be safe and comfortable when I have to run errands. He is only 2 months old and it is a very hot summer so I won't be taking him in my car until fall. The other great idea is a Snuggle Puppy. It has a heartbeat and can be warm so Scottie slept peacefully the third night home. He is my 5th Scottie and I am so so happy I found him.

Customer service was really friendly and helpful. I like the clean look of the website and it is easy to navigate.

Good Dog did a great job helping us to place our pups. They take a fair chunk from an already small profit margin but there is definite value in their services. They have lots of good teaching opportunities for both breeder and puppy parents. The program is great but does have some kinks that need to be worked out. The payments are a bit confusing if you require security deposits on your pups. The remaining balance does not show as being owed. There is a work around but it’s not ideal. The “in person payments” work but only if you live in an area with cell service. ( I do not) The work around is I have to give out my Wi-fi password to everyone that wants to do in person payments so they can log in. Which some puppy buyers are extremely uncomfortable with. The other work around is they purchase before pick up. But most buyers are very uncomfortable with that as well. There seems to be quite a few “tire kickers” that inquire about puppies. And oddly they all ask the same questions almost as if Good Dog has some “secret shoppers” driving up numbers, making you feel as if there is interest, and testing your dedication to abiding by the “No payments outside of Good Dog” rule. This could all be in my head but it is uncanny on how similar these tire kickers” are… I was recently informed that buyers received an upsell offer of additional insurance. I don’t know if it is health insurance or purchase/peace of mind insurance…I was completely unaware when my purchaser asked me about it.. I wish Good Dog was a bit more upfront to their breeders on what the purchasing process is like for the puppy buyers so when we are asked questions wa can give informative answers. Also, I use an email address solely for Good Dog, which is not shared with Good Dog puppy buyers. Somehow I am now receiving bulk spam in this folder. Overall, I would recommend their service.

Gooddog is a great platform for connecting buyers with breeders. Both parties can rest assured that it’s a secure site we’re both can be trusted. Gooddog vets its breeders as well as buyers. It’s a win for both.

Great experience from beginning with Dianna. Super communications. She sent updates with videos about pups and clearly introduced them to dogs and people so they were socialized. She is so hands on. Pups are well loved and cared for and are beautiful! We love our Teddie! L

I love Good Dog. The app is great for communication with potential families. More importantly, I love the fast and easy payment processing. The fees are totally worth it, nothing in life is free!!

Overall, buying a new puppy using Good Dog was a positive experience. I was able to speak to the breeder by phone and discuss which of the puppies in the litter might be best for me. Loretta is very generous and is keeping Gracie, my new puppy, for an extra month, until I retire and can bring her home. Besides sending me adorable photos and video, Loretta also figured out a work-around to a website problem on a weekend. (Good dog lost a star because IT help wasn't available and I could have lost my chosen puppy.) I just can't wait to meet Gracie in person and bring her home!

I love the Good Dog website. I found the puppy I wanted. The website was so easy to use and took me step by step through meeting the breeders, preparing for the puppy, processing contract and payment. Wonderful, hassle free experience.
