SCAM! DON'T DO IT! THEY ARE A BROKER, NOT A FULL-SERVICE MOVING COMPANY. Read the contract. Real movers will come to your home to evaluate your items and give you an honest and fair quote. Gold Standard does not. Do not give them a deposit over the phone. They will broker out to a scamming "moving company" (American Home Relocation in my case) who operate like thugs. Pursuant to their contract, Gold Standard is supposed to verbally disclose that they are a broker, which they did not do. Nor did they communicate who the moving company will be. That is a surprise on your moving day when you're expecting Gold Standard movers and a random no name moving company with unprofessional movers show up in your home. The movers will try to extort more money out of you and threaten to keep YOUR PERSONAL PROPERTY if you do not pay (there is no contract with the moving company, and they have no right to your things). It has been a nightmare. They will lie to you to get your business then treat you like you are not a paying customer. Gold Standard does not want to take any accountability for the job once they have your deposit. The delivery of my personal property is 19 business days overdue (40 business days total) and I can't get a delivery date out of anyone. Different customer service rep every time you call with different excuses. They are in severe breach of their "binding" contract. I must now take legal action. You would think it be easier for them to just do the job they claim to do, but they would rather scam hardworking people. It's a sin and a shame.

DO NOT USE
DO NOT USE. Read reviews on Better Business Bureau, many complaints C+ rating. I contracted with Gold Standard who ended up playing the role of middleman and sold me a bill of lies. Once I signed on the dotted line with Gold Standard, they simply handed me to another company (West Coast Relocation Services) and washed their hands of the whole process. Every call I made to get status they said it was not in their hands. Gold Standard is dishonest; the sales person continually fed me lies to entice me to use their services. They told me I would receive my items in 7-14 days, in the end it actually took 7 weeks. Gold Standard lacks customer service, wait times on the phone are over an hour, said would call back with an answer never did, or disconnected when they had no answers. The company they hired to move me was incompetent, Gold Standard contracted with them, they should take responsibility for the horrible experience I had with West Coast Relocation Services.
Gold standard is accountable for the moving company they selected for my move. That is what their company is all about. They should not be able select the moving company and then walk away. They are hired to find a reliable, dependable and competent moving company. They did not do their job, they failed to find a reputable moving company. They found a company that stored my items in a damp area for 7 weeks, who destroyed my belongings, crushed my boxes, opened my boxes and failed to deliver all my boxes. I felt as thought my home was broken into and vandalized, a terrible experience.

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY
This company needs to be investigated for their grossly negligent practices and clear false advertising. They are not actually a moving company, and as others have complained, by the time you find out who the job has been subcontracted to (we found out the DAY OF), you don't have time to research that company -- also, the subcontractor made us sign a new agreement on the spot (no time to review, otherwise they would not start moving/packing our stuff. Talk about a classic bait and switch. I've emailed them with this complaint and have not received a substantive response. Give us our money back -- per your satisfaction guarantee.
1) 75% of our boxes arrived at our new house damaged - either the box was smashed because it was improperly packed into the truck, or the items were not properly wrapped/placed so they were damaged or completely destroyed (like our bed frame). The items in the boxes were not properly wrapped--it looks like the team just emptied our drawers and threw them into the box as-is. The only items that were properly wrapped were the tvs, a couple of the picture frames, and one of our mattresses along with a couple of the several boxes. The driver said he had never seen a worse packing job in his career and that he would not do work again for the subcontractor because he was embarrassed and saddened by the damage to our stuff (as well as the other person's stuff that was in the truck). We contacted the rep from sub, Cheetah Movers, due to the amount of damaged items due to their grossly negligent packing and he told me "I got all your stuff from Seattle to Denver as I said I would do and I will provide you with the link to file claims for all your damaged stuff." Not surprisingly, he has not sent me the claims link yet. See photos attached of how the boxes were packed. Olive oil and vinegar spilled in a couple ruining the other items in the boxes as well as damaging the boxes. In another box, green food coloring spilled all over the other items in the box. A large picture frame of ours was just thrown in the truck, unwrapped on top of all the boxes -- not surprisingly, the frame broke. THIS IS GROSS NEGLIGENCE and I will be seeking the advice of an attorney as to how to proceed. When Cheetah Movers was almost done packing our stuff, I asked them why they left the cleaning supplies and some of our alcohol -- he said that they do not move liquids. I then asked about the other liquids they had already packed from our kitchen, including wine, olive oil and vinegar, and he said those were fine. Literally made no sense -- as his explanation was to avoid leakage and damage to the other items in the boxes. Our knife block set was wrapped but then thrown in the box upside down...so all the knives were loose in the box (very DANGEROUS).
2) We had no idea that they would subcontract the work associated with the move to another company. We found out when the subcontractor arrived to pack and load our stuff that they were not affiliated with Gold Standard Moving and at that point had no other choice but to go with them. I would have done research on them prior to proceeding with Gold Standard had I known the work was going to be subcontracted. Their site states that "Gold Standard Moving offers interstate moving services based out of Florida." They do not offer moving services -- they offer moving services coordination/logistics. This is not clear on their site and I believe would qualify as deceptive advertising and I will be speaking with an attorney regarding this claim. We only found out that our move would be subcontracted when the sub arrived with their own contract (the day of the move) and had no choice but to go with them without being able to do research on them or thoroughly review the contract. We had no choice at this point but to go with them -- as it was the day of our move and we needed our stuff in Denver the following week.
3) On their site, they say "Satisfaction Guaranteed". What is the guarantee as I am clearly not satisfied...? I would expect that this guarantee means we get a refund of our deposit with this company and I look forward to receiving that refund. Or is this just another false advertisement?

DISHONEST COMPANY!
DISHONESTY!
This is a partial full review of this company for job ID G7348316. I wonder what the final review will be.
I moved from Georgia to Minnesota almost 4 weeks ago now and I have not received my property yet. The estimated delivery is between 5-14 business days for the distance, which is in my contract. This is the 14th business day.
Today I contacted Gold Standard Moving Company and Professional Relocation Team and got a run around for my money. Gold Standard Moving Co., based in FL don't know when I will get my property, while Professional Relocation Team, which is based in GA cannot be reached by their number 844 567 4407. Gold Standard, the "broker" said they have not heard back from Professional Relocation Team since my move. The same company they (Gold Standard) employed to move my property. Gold Standard already have my non-refundable deposit of $1766.00, and Professional Relocation Team have my $1020 I gave to them on the day of pickup Tuesday, July 27, 2021 (came a day late). Professional Relocation Team said I will pay the remainder $3019 on the delivery date (expected to be Thursday July 29, 2021).
According to the yellow copy of Interstate Bill of Lading that I had to personally request for, it shows the total of whole move as $5805.
I called the Professional Relocation Team on Wednesday August 4, 2021, and I was told I owe them $2000 before pickup. That is not in the contract and that was not told to me by the movers that came to get my property.
Called Gold Standard Moving back that same day and told them what had happened, they said I am not expected to pay anything until delivery. Called Professional Relocation Team back, told them what was in the contract...after putting me on hold, they came back and disconnected the call.
Called them back and the line started ringing busy until today; I can never get to them again once I pick the line options 1 (Sales department) ringed, agent picked, put me on hold goes on hold, but 2 (dispatch), or 3 (customer service) rings busy. Called Professional Relocation Team today, but used the sales option (1) Wednesday August 18, and was told that I owe them $2000 still. The numbers changed from $5805 to $5802.58. They say I now owe them $3016.58, and that I must pay $2000 now, and then pay the remainder $1016.58 at delivery or else I will not get my stuff.
I told them that is not what Gold Standard Moving told me and they said we can do a three-way call to clarify. I kindly asked the agent to call Gold Standard Moving since that is what they want, but they said I must be the one calling Gold Standard Moving. They are holding my property hostage.
Called Gold Standard Moving, told them what Professional Relocation Team is saying about what I owe before delivery, got an agent named Christopher that put on hold straight from the bat even before I gave them my Job ID (G7348316).Christopher finally got back on the phone and told me unfortunately they cannot do anything about what Professional Relocation Team is doing, but in the contract terms and conditions, item 4 says "The customer has hired gold standard as a moving coordinator/shipper agent/broker..."
The names on the contract are my wife and my grandfather in-laws. I had to suffer through the constant denials of information because my name is not listed in the contract. My wife has repeatedly given consent on my behalf, which they acknowledged, but they still make me suffer through asking for consent.
This is criminal in every standard. And they (Gold Standard Moving Company) charged me over $2000 more than estimated. How did this happen? They never called for the final estimate as promised. They also came a day late to pick up my property after calling them repeatedly.
Is this fair? Is this how to conduct business?
Like I said before this is just a partial review.

Scammer Shell Company
Scheduled a move, paid a deposit, then cancelled my move with them after learning more about the company via BBB. I cancelled my move within their 10 business day window. My refund was approved, and I was emailed a docusign agreeing not to put a stop-payment on the deposit and would receive the refund in 9-14 business days. That refund never came and it has now been over 1 month.

Do NOT book with them - horrifying experience
Do NOT book with them! Came my moving day and over DOUBLED the price for me to move for my 1 bedroom apartment. I asked for a explanation as to why it was such a huge price jump and the guy told me they had to wrap my tv blah blah and said he was going to go outside to make a call. Went out back to see what was going on about 5 minutes later and the truck was gone as well as the scumbag who doubled the price. I kept calling him and calling him as well as text AND text the emergency number with NO answer from both. He ended up BLOCKING me! I was stranded with a newborn baby and in complete shock of what happened. I called the company the next day after having the worst anxiety attack of my life (was on hold 2 hours btw) and they are REFUSING to refund me my deposit as they said I “refused service” which is a complete LIE! Why would I do that after paying my deposit and needing to be out that day?! All I asked for was a explanation and I thought the man was going out to make a call to explain the breakdown for me. I’m disgusted how they are refusing to refund me my deposit after CLEAR evidence of my texting the man who came In asking where he was and what was going on. Worst company out there stay far away. I will be persuading small claims court.

DO NOT USE!!!!
DO NOT USE!!!!! It’s a scam!!!
This is the absolute most ridiculous excuse for a moving company I have ever encountered. Horrific customer service. They picked up my friend's belongings, did not have enough space due to dispatch not updating the truck. Dumped her kids toys all over the street while putting things in the truck. They had her items for 30 days and still have them then would not respond to texts, calls or emails. She did receive one email response from Lisa after about 2 weeks who just kept telling her that her things were in route with no actual delivery date. A guy called her just yesterday and said they would be there at 3:30. The truck showed up late after 7 hours notice. Luckily it’s a weekend so she was home but she didn’t have time to find a place for her dogs so she locked them in a bed room. They started unloading her things and then the driver told her she still owed the $2700. She had already given them $2000 cash at pickup. They put their manager on the phone and handed it to her. He proceeded to cuss and yell at her about paying her bill and would not let her speak. He hung up on her and then the driver and his partner left and took her things. Her grandmothers ashes, all of her child’s clothes and shoes to start school on the 23rd of this month, all of her furniture, mattresses, jewelry, family pictures, silverware, all her pots & pans. They had been sleeping on the floor for a month. She called the emergency line for Gold Standard 10 times with no response and left messages. This company is an absolute joke. I was with her when she had these phone calls. Her and her child has to stay at my house for a week because they didn't have furniture.
